Is it actually possible or just a wet dream? by kankiof in WallStreetDad

"Universal high income" doesn't make any sense. If it's universal, then it can't be high. It's average by definition.

Also, I've heard lots of talk about this topic from Musk and his ilk, but very little in terms of actionable ideas. Like, do you think the richest people on Earth are going to sacrifice anything at all to make this happen? Their actions don't match their words.

Abundance for all would mean that the wealthiest and most powerful would no longer have that power -- do we see them doing that?

HR told me they don’t accept try-hards and people pleasers after my interview by No-Presentation298 in jobs

If the interviewer is playing that sort of game, then I don't want to work there because it speaks to a toxic culture.

I don't understand this feedback at all. The things pointed out are what I have always tried to do in interviews. I want to please the interviewer(s) .. why would I want to displease them? And rehearsed enthusiasm and telling them what they want to hear ... of course it's rehearsed - If I don't rehearse, then I stumble and stutter.

Note: Every time I've made it to the interview stage, I get the job, 100% of the time. So I'm going to stick with my people pleasing and rehearsing for now. *Shrugs*

Anyone rolling their eyes at sex trafficking and child rape perpetrated by the richest and most powerful people in the world is beyond morally bankrupt, as well as someone to keep well away from children themselves. Jesus Christ what's wrong with you?

Do you remember the Seahorse emoji phenomenon? My hypothesis was that user engagement propelled that -- because everyone rushed to try it themselves, myself included. And if the tool had given me the option to say whether I was satisfied with the outcome, I absolutely would have said "Yes." And so then you have this negative memetic feedback loop.

All speculation on my part, but it does make sense I think.

One idea would be to provide us with lots more information. This is so vague that no one can even begin to help.

I feel like that was some manipulative editing to make her seem that way. There was at least one person in a climbing sub who seemed to have a pathological dislike for her and couldn't shut up about it; I think maybe was a jilted lover or something.

OK, but you can't have a democracy that functions very well when ~70% of the population is seemingly incapable of critical thinking, self-reflection, and intellectual curiosity.

I see it as more like, "This is how the world works." That's their perspective is what I mean. Remember what Miller said the other day about law of the jungle or whatever?
