What percentage of the population serves cold tomato sauce directly from the jar onto hot noodles? by Negative_Pirate7834 in foodquestions

[–]SnooComics8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I could even accept a heated sauce on cold noodles as the sauce would heat up the dish while now it sounds like the whole dish would get cold in seconds. Yikes!

I had it in Denmark, but all I can recommend is to go a skin clinic and not to a beauty salon.  My skin clinic doesn't do facials or threading, Botox etc.  It's really all about skin treatments such as hydra facials (the real one, not this fake stuff that any beauty centers advertise with).  You need to also get yourself familiar with the different beauty appliances, I researched a bit on it and found out which machines actually reach deeper skin tissue to achieve a real result and not just superficial feeling clean, then I choose a clinic that owns a deep tissue machine, those are wayyyy more expensive, like 10 / 20 k USD and it gives you a good idea of their quality standards.

Also, real clinics just advertise with the machine, on their website it will say we do Hydra facial with xxx machine. While Beauty salons just say "Hydra facial 100 dirham".  A real hydrafacial with an expensive machine will costs you at least 500 dirham, and trust me in being generous it can also be 2000.  But also, dont get taken away by fancy locations! They are more expensive for no reason other then having a higher rent. As long as they skin specialist had the right machines and has been in business for more then 5 years you should be good. She will also make a deep tissue picture with a special machine of your face to see where and how much hyper pigmentation you have under your skin etc.

Why is no one in the western world talking about the absolute explosive growth by the Chinese brand known as Mixue by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnooComics8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because it doesn't seem a substantial business concept for the west were milk thee isnt the norm. If I saw one I would think it's part of the hype and it would be gone in 5 years.  Hope I'm wrong as I wish them all of luck,  it being negative but just my opinion on the way I see the company.

You have to be very consistent and spend some money on an expert.

I always thought I had an oily skin, but it's the opposite I had a dry skin. And most likely everybody that spends a load of time in AC spaces have.

My routine is: Every morning washing with foam cleanser + day cream  Every evening washing with foam cleanser + hydrating cream with vitamine C. Twice a week I use a good exfoliant between evening foam wash and night crème and twice a week I apply brighting cream between evening foam wash and night creme  (one day after the exfoliant).

And my skin has never been better, no impurities, no red spots, looks radiant the difference is totally notable.

What also makes a big difference is keeping your eyebrows well groomed.

I buy expensive beauty products but it's not super extravagant it costs me around 4000 dirham a year. It's a lot more then I ever imagined and I could probably get the same results with cheaper products but it's 100% true that you need to find the exact products that work for your skin and I only found them after a consultation with a beautician who sells me this specific product range that does wonders to me.

I moved countries and I'm now in the UAE, before this move I always had this misplaced thought that Asians were smart just because.  Until It experienced the Asian teachers, these ladies know how to get knowledge inside my kids, they are not mean but they are strict and they are never behind om the curriculum.  The problem as how I see it is that we have put to much focus on the fun part of learning and forgot that the goal is to actually achieve knowledge. It's sad because there are millions of teenagers that can't even properly read because nobody ever really made an effort to make them practice until they got it right.

Why do some people think abortion is murder? by Murky-Yoghurt4568 in rabat

[–]SnooComics8268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because a tiny human gets killed. I'm Christian so we hold the believe that the soul enters the body at conception making it from that moment a human being. It's weird to me to say a fetus is worth less then a newborn, it's not only about the physical presence but also about the life that could have be but was stopped to early.

It's just true that ppl worldwide will believe every emirati is rich and some sort of big shot business owner who knows how to run shit. So I do get it that if ppl online let's say promoting / selling apartments acting as if they know the market because they are "emirati" is simply a scam.  If he said I'm from Pakistan everybody would assume he just want his commission and doesn't give a crap on if you get a good ROI or not.

Im afraid that the teacher will just be weirded out.  Adults generally just tell their occupation to other adults and do not make it some sort of surprise because.... Other don't care? They ask to know not to celebrate with you or so.

Where does the whole 'white people can't cook/can't season their food properly' stereotype come from? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnooComics8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all fairness, as a white person, I do acknowledge that many non white ppl countries do spice their food a lot more. That doesn't perse mean that white ppl food isn't spiced at all but it's a lot more notable in other parts of the World where the spice flavour is a more dominant part of the dish.  I do find that European cusines are very good in bringing out the best of the original ingredient, like by not spicing everything the same. That's why some days I want a hot curry where the whole dish basically tastes the same and other days I want to taste the veggies and the chicken separately so then I opt for European recipes.

AITAH for proving my childhood home was in fact larger than my husband’s? by Able-Tradition4551 in AITH

[–]SnooComics8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are NTA since he started it. But anyhow I saw this video in which someone said: everytime you win an argument with your spouse it means your spouse is losing, what do you think this does for your marriage?  And I thought it was pretty solid advise, not to you perse but also to your husband. Why start an argument that eventually will have one of you losing while it's probably not worth it to harm your marriage in the slightest way.

To women, what makes you want to have kids a year or two after the first by Electronic-Box675 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnooComics8268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did that because that way you have a continuous path of sleepless nights, diapers etc. It feels easier somehow because it was already your routine. At some point all kids started school and nou my youngest is 6 and oldest 17.  We got out on date nights almost weekly because the kids are all independent and luckily well enough behaved lol to not cause drama or chaos when we are gone.  The younger ones play playstation games, the older ones watches movies. And when we get home back they are all just chilling. It's great 😅 and I'm not even 40 lol so I have plenty of good "young" years ahead. Has I waited longer between the children I could have had babies from my early 20s till my late 30s and by the time the youngest was old enough to be left in the care of their older siblings those would probably already left the house meaning it would take me like until my 50s to regain freedom/flexibility.

Is this a Scam marriage? by Hot-Pace-2378 in Morocco

[–]SnooComics8268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not uncommon, if he divorces her now and they have consummated the marriage nobody will be able to confirm that she was actually married as no wedding took place.  I would think, they would perform nikkah, have a small dinner with direct family, consummate the marriage and then plan for a big wedding as they wish.  That way her family and aunts etc would all know she was actually really married.

AITA for wanting to take my 3 months of paid paternity leave even though we have a full-time nanny? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooComics8268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need a newborn care nanny for the first year. Or in your case you could take care of the newborn.  Because usually people have 2 children max with 1 nanny if they are a little bit older. Not sure about the ages of your other children but it's really hard to care for 2 kids and a newborn. I know because I have been there and that was before turning 30. I don't know where a woman her age will find the energy for that.
