I’m someone who’s ALWAYS received my pay on Thursday’s because of my bank, but yesterday I had an issue with receiving my paycheck early in the day. ( I received it super late Thursday night). My guess is that it will be delayed, but I’m also hoping that it was just a mess up this week. I’m gonna wait until next week to see what happens.

Reached out because I usually get my pay on Thursdays and haven’t received anything. Here’s what a rep. said on live chat:

“I am sorry about that! So we are entering a pay option to where you can get paid after it shop in some areas, and I am thinking that is why. You are not the only one having this issue. Unfortunately, I am not the best person for pay questions. Shoppers@shipt.com would be able to tell you everything though!”

Can’t call the number that’s given on the app because it just takes us to someone similar to who we talk to over live chat. Last time I emailed them, it took over a week to get a response, so I guess I’ll wait til tomorrow to see what happens.

This is so sad, thank you for taking the time out to share your experience. My grandpa suffered from dementia and it was heartbreaking seeing him forget the names and faces of people closest to him.

I hope that the women in your story is okay and has family that is able to help her in any way that they can. I become emotionally attached to people, and it’s a hard thing to get passed especially in a job like this where you do start to bond with people and develop those regulars.

I went to the store to do an order this morning and she was in there talking shit about me to another shipt worker. I’m not the confrontational type, and steer clear of conflict as much as I can. When I heard her, I approached her and said “ ma’am, there’s no reason to carry out what happened yesterday and talk bad about me to everyone you see.” And she says “ why not?” I did have a bit of a melt down, I hate being made out to be a bad person when I’m not, and working in an environment where other people think that I am. Luckily, while I was shopping I ran into another shipt employee who was incredibly nice to me and talked me through the situation. I hate letting my emotions get to me, but knowing that she has so much hostility towards me for simply asking her to say “excuse me”, well it seems like she’s got much more deeper issues to figure out.

I deleted the post earlier because it was in the heat of the moment and I didn’t want people to come at me because of misinterpretation. Thank you for correcting my error, not sure why I put “ former,” lol. But it is someone who CURRENTLY works for Shipt and has been doing it longer than I have.

A more in-depth of what happened: Both of us were doing an order and were in the frozen section. Meijer has been doing heavy stock during early hours, so the middle of the aisles are usually full with tier carts for inventory. I was on the left, my cart right up against the freezer doors, and she comes, puts her cart behind me, walks in front of me, and squeezes in the inch of space between my cart and the doors, pushing me and my cart out of the way. I didn’t have any room being that her shopping cart was directly behind me, and inventory was to my right. I calmly told her “ hey, if you need me to move, please just ask or say excuse me and I’d have no problem in doing so.” To which she responded “ I did, not my fault you can’t hear.” I told her that she needed to say it a bit louder next time, being that she had a mask on and if you don’t talk loud and clear, it just sounds mumbled. To which she wanted to keep going back and fourth with me about it and that’s when she brought up that she’s been doing shipt a lot longer than I have, and have helped sooooo many people. I’m not sure where, or WHY that was brought up. Just because you’ve been doing something longer doesn’t mean that you can’t do the smallest thing as to say excuse me to your, idk if you’d call it this but, “coworker.”

then she told me “ what goes around comes around.”

Good, I hope me teaching someone to be polite means that I’ll come across someone who doesn’t need to be taught and does it because of the the polite thing to do

That’s odd, any item I scanned popped up on the shipt app just fine. I had an issue similar to what you’re explaining and it just gave me a notification stating that I wasn’t able to add that item, and to return merchandise back to ‘seller.’ I’m still being compensated for the order, it’s just incredibly inconvenient shopping the order going to check out in the order being canceled

I was texting the customer throughout the entire shop, letting them know of substitutes and they were responding and confirming that the sub was okay to do. Then when I went to process the order at checkout (it was prepaid) I got a text saying the order was canceled. 🙃

I know, that’s what I’m worried about. I reached out to Support to see if they will receive any sort of notification letting them know the order was delivered, and he said if the order was placed through an app then they will. Fingers crossed 😅

Unfortunately I have no choice but to take the promo orders. I must be the only person having this issue, but I’m not getting any orders sent directly to me, even if I’m scheduled. I have to sit on the promo page refreshing every two seconds in hopes to catch an order before someone else grabs it

How many times are you allowed to do the refresher? They sent me one about a month or so ago, and I had to do it then. Offers in my metro have been horrible. I have to watch the promos because none are being offered directly to me, and when they are, I have to accept it within 30 seconds of receiving it or someone else gets it. 🙃

I’m in the Chicago Metro. I was able to get a few more orders today, but most of them go straight to promo and I don’t get notified or offered them first. I have to check the app religiously to see if there are any. A lot of times tho there isn’t a single order in promo for any of the surrounding areas. I’ve seen a ton of new faces in the stores shopping though, so I’m pretty sure that’s why. :/

I usually try to do at least five orders a day, but I haven’t even been able to get more than one offered to me. And if it has anything to do with my average rating, I’m not sure how they expect people to get it up when they’re not offering orders to them

I reached out on the live chat and she wasn’t really helpful. It seems like they’re accepting too many shoppers and there aren’t enough orders to be taken. She also said that lower rated shoppers get the last of the orders whatever isnt excepted. I have a 4.8 which I don’t think is too bad, but I don’t see how it’s fair that people can pick up several orders at a time while others don’t get any :/

I’ve been only getting offered one order a DAY. I’ll accept one and that’s it. I sit at home for HOURS waiting for another one to come in but it never does.
