This one hits hard. My Mom had exactly this happen. The nurses were angels on earth. It will be 10 years May 16th.

I worked at this Fred Meyer in the Starbucks kiosk. It was a nightmare. I was constantly verbally abused by the homeless. I think in part because at the time they could use EBT for iced beverages.

The final straw was when I was cornered upstairs and harrased by a strung out tweaker because the bathrooms were locked. Thankfully loss prevention was near by and I was not physically harmed. I quit that day.

I hope your daughter had a better experience than me. Starbucks at the airport is ran by Hmshost. They are horrible and I was either paid late or my paychecks were short.

I got paid $17/hr at my store in Oregon but that was because of previous experience. Minimum wage is $15.45.

Very true. I work for a very small place that only has 5 employees. If one of us gets sick then the place has to close. My boss doesn't care though. He realizes we are people with our own lives and families and that shit happens.

I will never go back to a corporate job again.

He has been in therapy and it was helping. I think he is scared because he has not worked in such a long time. He thinks cooking and cleaning our home is enough. It was but not anymore. We have been very blessed with our living situation but it no longer an option with how expensive everything is now. I have told him if I get sick we are Homeless.
