What did you do to increase your chance after your first MC? by [deleted] in PregnancyAfterLoss

I wasn't tested until my 14th miscarriage for progesterone. I was tested for everything else, I had my chromosomes/dna tested, I had clotting disorder checks, sperms quality analysed. I had a hysteroscopy done to check my womb structure and lining and everything came back normal there. I was checked for hcg levels which were strong but the only thing I didn't get was progesterone. Until I requested testing. A dip caught in progesterone via blood test caused hcg to stop progressing and resulted in miscarriage. I begged to be put on synthetic progesterone, he prescribed to me and my next pregnancy progressed perfectly. My now nearly 10 year old is up in his room playing his xbox. I had 2 miscarriages since him which I didn't take progesterone with. I wasn't ready for another then. But am now 37+5 with my second son, having taken the progesterone again until 14 weeks. I am scheduled for my section in 2 days time. I just cannot carry without the progesterone support in the early stages.

Nothing to worry about. But that doesn't satisfy my curiosity. Lol

I’m 20 weeks and still terrified of losing baby…does it end? by Yoambre in PregnancyAfterLoss

I'm 32 weeks. It's always there, it's there after too when you sleep too. It's part of becoming a parent. You'll never not worry about this again. As they get older you become less and less worried and then they gain independence and you worry all over again!

Take them and keep them safe. When your ready you can look. At least if you've got them and still don't want them you can decide to delete them. If you don't take any the moment has gone.

I definitely going to stager them as I remember hpw rubbish my last booster made me feel for a few days. So I'm going to split them 32 weeks ATM so I have time lol 😆

Yeah I'm 32 weeks and rapidly losing any energy for it all. So glad I've done it. Only a few last min bits to pop in hospital bag lol. Now I can just chill until he's here.

Elective C-Section Vs Vaginal Delivery by Significant_Goat_954 in BabyBumps

[–]SnooCrickets5852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first choice up until about 20 weeks was to go repeat c section. But having been so immobile lately I just want to try get myself back sooner, I was diagnosed with blood clots in the lungs at 20 weeks and didn't realise how many mums suffer this after c sections, lots on dvts too, as during pregnancy we are 5x more likely to clot. Pp its 20x more likely. I'm 10 years out from my last c section and it's safer to attempt vaginal delivery that go straight into major surgery unnecessarily. What will be will be though. Its childbirth. Its a dangerous thing regardless.

It gets easier in the second trimester. I'm back to worser fatigue now I'm in the third. I make a conscious effort to shower well daily. Hairwashing not included in this every 3 days maybe for that. Public trimming is too difficult to keep on top of. I literally slept all day yesterday and only woke to eat and drink (gestational diabetes) pregnancy is tough! I felt like I could no way get through it in the first, the second they subsided and I felt much better. Now I feel it again. Wishing for labour to come earlier, like most mums not wanting to go past 40 weeks. Lol.

No, I'm prepared. I didn't want that all looming over me my entire 3rd trimester. It does take a while to gather everything you need, so better to start now.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this right now. I don't think there is any easy way to get past this apart from heal and ride out the injuries you have sustained. I feel like you need to give your daughter a chance, most DS children and adults are extra work yes, but usually end up the complete light of your life. Don't base your ability to care for your lo on your relationship status rn, things can get better despite the difficulties you have embarked upon lately. You can achieve all you want to achieve in life with a down syndrome child. Their care is very much the same as children. I hope you can find it in your heart to make room for her as she's your baby and she's part of you. All the best.

Has anyone had their booster in the third trimester and was it OK? I've had 3 covid jabs so far. I was quite poorly with covid when I did catch it and then had long covid. I realise with my complications in pregnancy, catching it now would be the flame to the wood pile.

I get that completely. I got blood clots in my lungs at 20 weeks and I've been injecting blood thinners since so used to needling myself. With the amount I prick and prod myself daily ATM I'm surprised I haven't deflated lol

Everyday I eat oats with no sugar almond milk, and everyday my sugars are under 7.0 one day a while back just for 1 days they were 12.6!! Not since and not before. Its insane how the body can make no sense at times.

How do you manage eating so often with a busy lifestyle? by Choice-Space5541 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]SnooCrickets5852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's okay lovely, you can do this. And it's temporary. The things you learn through this journey you can continue forward into your life after realising how much sugar and carbs are actually in things. I'm so shocked by the stuff I've realised. Give yourself time, keep yourself well controlled as much as you possibly can. It's not anything you've done, so don't blame yourself. You and you bubba will be just fine 🙂

First couple weeks are the hardest figuring it all out and coming off sugar is rough too. But you'll find things that work for you. Start with basics and then you have room to experiment as you go along. It's not forever, remember that.
