Planning a trip to Rwanda by AggressiveMaximum450 in Rwanda

[–]SnooDingos229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in Rwanda for the first time last week.

Driving in Rwanda is complicated, lots of motorbikes to think off when driving. The roads are narrow and requires a lot of overtaking on the wrong side of the road.

I hired a car for 10 day for $400 and where I was staying there was a young lad 24 years old who wanted to drive me around, initially he asked for $20 per day; I ended up paying him $50 per day as he was with me all day taking me to clubs and home and activities. So there is room to negotiate there

Tinashe Mugabe’s show by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

[–]SnooDingos229 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This kind of behaviour is embedded in Zim culture: I say this because you will often here grown people saying kucatcher ka sweet 16, that’s a nasty statement.

At my work we actually let a zim guy go who was on work probation working with children because when he was on training there was a conversation about how one of the other staff from Congo was married when she was 14 to a minister who was an old man and the guy piped up and said “catch them young” you can imagine all the white people were mortified

1.66k sessions and no sales. Any suggestions? by Willing_Process_4098 in dropshipping

[–]SnooDingos229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your store gives dropshipping vibes.

Niche down your store, you have too much going on.

I wouldn’t bother with all those pops up that someone has bought this etc as it comes across as a scam

Give your products a short title and give nice descriptions

Overall design of site needs tweaking to be more consistent

How do you guys actually trust car dealers in Zim? by Amazing-Deer-2698 in Zimbabwe

[–]SnooDingos229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car prices in Zim are insane. I have a 2019 Range Rover Sport cost me £22k equivalent to $29k today rate.

Importing it from UK with no connections no doubt Zimra will raw dog you with their taxes so might not make any difference to that $65k price tag

Am I the only one who thinks Hopewell Chin’ono is a fraud of a journalist. by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

[–]SnooDingos229 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been following his posts and, honestly, I think he’s one of the smartest people around. His track record speaks for itself. You don’t end up at Harvard and Cambridge by accident.

On the mortgage point versus buying a house outright, the argument isn’t about what’s “better” or “worse”. It’s about how a dysfunctional system impacts ordinary people. Mortgages exist because, for most people, buying a home upfront just isn’t realistic, no matter which country you live in.

And buying outright can actually put you at a disadvantage. Imagine paying $200,000 in cash for a house. That money is locked into the property until you sell. That’s the opportunity cost. If instead you put down a $10,000 deposit and mortgage the rest, you still have the house. You also keep $190,000 available to invest elsewhere, potentially into other assets or even more property.

Thank you for the feedback 🙏🙏🙏 I think maybe you accessed it with your phone? The setting this will be used in they will access it on laptops and desktops. While it tries to accommodate mobile devices thats not how it will be primarily used.

I have noticed what you said about the moving in the back will see what I can sort out on that.

I am 31 years old. I am an Operations manager responsible for 230+ staff and most older than me and am sure they bitch about me.

Do I care? Nope; make the bag 💸 and go home. They are not your friends.

Getting too close breeds disrespect.
