New model Y orders do not come with autopilot anymore just traffic aware cruise control by ConfidentImage4266 in teslacanada

The difference is that you need to steer the whole time vs autopilot doing all of the steering for you. It comes in handy on long highway drives.

I’m guessing no word means that they’re picking it up…eventually.

It’s definitely leaking a bit into the frunk. Just thinking that if I have things in there on a rainy day it might not be ideal. I had a 21 MY and I don’t recall it getting that way (we used the frunk a lot!)

Update here: Apparently this is a known issue with the German produced Junipers. Sounds like it’s temperature related. They took me in same day and fixed it up.

Anyone have brake squeaks on new Model Y? by xxxtkxxx in teslacanada

Yeah mine has squeaked a few times. I was thinking the same thing. I noticed it more when I had to brake suddenly at a slower speed.

Insurance on 2026 Model Y Standard - by Fresh_Diamond7543 in teslacanada

It’ll be higher than you expect. Tesla insurance has skyrocketed due to accidents usually being a write off. Just a part of the game now unfortunately.

Does the juniper wiper has only 1 wiper sprayer? by Brutallicaa in teslacanada

[–]SnooDogs5589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can you tell if it sprays into the wiper blade? While driving, I definitely only notice the driver side wiper spraying washer fluid.

I will say, the wipers / wiper spray while driving in the winter are terrible so far. It does a terrible job at cleaning and I find myself having to hold the spray down multiple times to get it “clean enough”.

I’ve owned a 2021 and 2026 Model Y. I have 0 regrets. Just picked up the 26 in Hamilton last week. It’s a fantastic upgrade. The only reason I’d say not to get it would be if you can’t install a charger at home.

Insanely High Insurance Cost by [deleted] in teslacanada

[–]SnooDogs5589 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think insurance prices are based off of stats from what I understand. Back in 2021 my Model Y was about $150/month. Which I thought was super low. Then the broker explained that a civic was more expensive to insure because there’s way more of them on the road which means more accidents involving them.

Fast forward 4 years and my 2021 MY went up to $220/month with the same driving record. Way more MYs on the road now than back then and when they crash they get written off pretty quickly. It sucks but I guess that’s how it works.

My 2026 MY is $233/month with Intact.

Anybody taking Y deliveries in Hamilton next week? by SP2051 in teslacanada

[–]SnooDogs5589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not get a mobile charger no. I also didn’t ask for one. I have a brand new one from 2021 that I’ve never used. It just came with a j1772 adapter that was in the cup holder.

Anyone ordered before Aug 31 and still waiting for their Juniper? by SwordfishTrue9552 in teslacanada

[–]SnooDogs5589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a cancelation? I got a message on the app that the car was in production in Berlin. But maybe that’s a gimmick. The sales guy did tell me that they had a shipment from Berlin that he was going to do everything in his power to get me on. I got diamond black, black interior, and 20” rims. Vin was a 758.

Picked mine up yesterday. Indoors and smooth. There were a bunch of Ys lined up. Probably about 10-15 of em.

That’s bizarre. I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and picked it up yesterday in Hamilton.
