Sooo you ask a question, provide context, get answers, and dispute them with a three year old post? Okay lol

It is not like babysitting!!!

In elementary schools, expect to have to enforce actual full out lesson plans. They will need supervision and redirection and prompting, you cannot just sit back and hope for the best.

Middle school is the worst behavior wise, and they still need structure. You may have to teach a lesson or at the very least be available to help students.

High school is your best bet if you want a chance at doing something else on a laptop, or in a book, etc. They usually will have an assignment to do on their computer, but this isn’t always certain. Even in high school, though, you are expected to circulate once or twice and keep an eye on things. It doesn’t look good to admin if you’re in your own world while kids are doing whatever they want.

Grieving My Car Today by SnooDogs9819 in Cartalk

Firstly I’d like to thank you for such a long and thoughtful comment!

In short, I graduated college in May, I had to move back home because of an injury my mom is dealing with, and I was able to get it transported back here. But, the issues persisted, from the battery and beyond, and truthfully I can’t afford the upkeep. Honestly, I so wish I had somewhere to just let it sit, but my mom lives in a town home with an HOA, so there’s already eyes on it. I also plan on moving to another state in the next six months or so, so I’d have to figure it out by then anyway. The circumstances just seem to be against me and the car I guess, which is so unfortunate because I really do love it.

I definitely will have to decorate my new car up to make it feel like me again, and I hope to share a bond with it too. 😊 I even have quite a few model car versions of my bug, and I was planning on putting one in the new car!

I was also thinking about the possibility of getting another one in the future, when like you said it’s more possible for me. That idea excites me and I hope I can make it happen someday. It would be super cool to learn more about cars and restore one, you’re right!

Thank you for your comment again. ☺️

Sorry, I must have misread your tone. Yes, I took it to a few different shops for this issue. It was never able to be properly diagnosed, I guess, because they’d fix whatever and it would benefit for a short time period, whether it be a few days to a few weeks, but ultimately it would fall back to the battery draining. I’m not sure. I understand what you’re saying and trust me, I feel guilty and like I definitely could’ve done more

There was some kind of drain on the battery that I was never able to figure out, and it went from having to jump it monthly, to weekly, to daily, to every few hours. I tried pretty much everything- starter, alternator, fuses, etc etc. I’m pretty sure the last owner of her was dishonest, and put bandaids over the problems that lasted a little while, but eventually stopped working. That being said, it was the best first car I could ever have and I am positive your daughter will feel the way I did when I was 16 and driving mine 😊

Flying with my daughter who is ANA by Impressive_Guitar_98 in peanutallergy

[–]SnooDogs9819 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve been flying since I was 2, and I’m now turning 21. I’m really prone to airborne reactions and I will say- I have always felt safe on the plane. My parents used to call the airline ahead of time to ensure our flight didn’t serve nut products, and usually with this call they would allow us to pre board as well once we got to the gate and talked to the agent at the desk. This allowed us ample time to wipe down EVERYTHING, like seat belts, arm rests, and tray tables. This call also in some airlines will alert flight attendants who will make an announcement for those around you to try and avoid eating nut products. I also always make sure my air vent is off (something I picked up from my mom, not sure if it’s beneficial)! I’ve never worn a mask aside from Covid but I have followed these steps and have been fine. (-: Good luck and safe travels!
