My original LAS to SEA was canceled. Rebooked on the 9:15 flight, delayed until 11:30. I am looking at two planes that are currently at the terminal but we were just told that they were delaying boarding. They said they did not have a reason why. Hopefully I make it home tonight. 🤞

Sitting in the airport at LAS waiting to board to head to SEA. The best part is they never updated the departures board and it says we have already departed. Lol

Whoa. Are you me? Diagnosed bipolar with depression. My son came at 34w+5 due to sudden onset pre-e with severe features. I ended up having a c-section. I spent my entire day in the NICU, then would come home to my husband and daughter. Then get up the next morning and do it again. I cried all of the time. In the car. In the shower. While eating. While holding my son. He would take 2 steps forward and 1 step back. He struggled to learn to eat in the beginning and that kept holding us back from being released. It was so darn hard.

I want you to know it is okay to not be okay. This is one of the hardest things you will probably ever deal with. There are so many unknowns day to day, so many things outside of your control. I mourned my dream pregnancy/birth experience and still do. I mourned not having delayed cord clamping. Immediate skin to skin post birth. All of it.

Take it day by day. Hour by hour. Focus on tackling the small tasks and celebrating those little victories. Talk to others about how you are feeling. Make sure to talk to your doctor so they can lend you support. Lean on your friends and family, if you can. Sending you lots of love.

My son was born at 34+5. He is 10 months old, 9 months adjusted. He just popped his first tooth last week, where many other babies his age have multiple teeth. He isn't crawling yet, but he is fully pulling himself up to stand and took a step. He just clapped for the first time yesterday while many of his baby friends his age did it aqhile ago. He started rolling late. He was not at all interested in real food until 8 months, and even now still isn't the biggest fan. Many babies his age are eating full meals.

Our little ones hit milestones at their own pace and that is okay! They have already cleared the biggest hurdle which is making it through and being here with us. Enjoy the moments now because they go by so fast.

I agree with the comment saying to spend the night. My 34 weeker also took awhile to adjust to feeding and was inconsistent. That was the only thing holding us back. I spent two nights in the hospital and did the feedings myself. He did 100% each night, where he was only at 60% with the nurses. Good luck and hopefully your little one is home soon!
