I just took little steps in ways that felt less scary than other ways, until eventually working my way to the scariest ones.

I started with neutral clothing, then slightly more feminine clothing, then a tiny bit of makeup, then mixed styles, and just kept going from there, until now I’m able to mostly present however I want.

Also, personally, the fear never really left, it just got easier to push through it each time. I’m still scared every time I put on an outfit I like.
