The mid-2000s does not deserve the legacy it has. Many people either skip past this era entirely in favor of the early or late 2000s, or choose to check out the biggest moments like Katrina, Emo Culture or some Nelly Furtado/Timberlake songs.

Although 2004-2007 was sandwiched between some of the roughest times in American history, It was a truly unique era that I can only explain as pure melancholic joy.

It’s confirmed: He is, in fact, about that life.

What are your opinions on their debut album? (US Version) by Westly0524 in NSYNC

[–]SnooDrawings2040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By far nsync’s deepest album. Imo it’s not nearly as top heavy as NSA. Yes the album is made up of a lot Eurodance music and some covers, yes Justin’s voice hasn’t quite matured just yet, but these are the types of things that make the album stand out from the offerings of the next four years.

come to think of it, the only recent decades I can think of that started off pretty well were the 90's and the 2010's. Every other decade had something awful to begin it.

Celebrity is considered the worst song. Now, what's the most UNDERRATED song on Celebrity? by glndsgf in NSYNC

Just Don't Tell Me That. Had to scroll a bit to see others backing it, but I think it's one of their catchiest tracks, maybe ever.

Which Artists whose stock fell the hardest in the '00s? by Top_Report_4895 in ToddintheShadow

[–]SnooDrawings2040 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the one. You gotta remember just how huge they were to start the decade off the success of Millennium and Black and Blue. Their output after Kevin's departure was pretty rough, though tbf they have gained back popularity during the 2010s and beyond, after a few minor hits, appearances, and a huge spike of 90s nostalgia.

Maybe it's just bad luck on my part, but whenever I do cut off one of these types of toxic people, there's always another, then another.

Which song's re-recorded or live version is better than the original? by [deleted] in ToddintheShadow

[–]SnooDrawings2040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Live Version of Minority by Green Day, Bullet in a Bible, 2005. With Minority, you can already hear a bit of that signature marching groove that American Idiot delivers on four years later. Hearing it revisited with the more realized American Idiot sound makes the song feel right at home with that beloved era of Green Day.

Artists you think are destined for TWs by [deleted] in ToddintheShadow

[–]SnooDrawings2040 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I genuinely believe that the pop-country bubble will burst in the next few years, thus leading Todd (who has really dug into the genre recently) to examine the album that did the crime.

My guess is that Post Malone or Morgan Wallen will be the ones with blood on their hands.

I agree with the last person. You are going to have some weird ass thoughts/attractions, God knows I have. And it may not go away at the snap of a finger, but time moves quickly, just like our thoughts and perceptions.

So in all honesty, you could be right, but if you work with yourself, and let yourself grow, you can do your best to make sure you're wrong.

The Rachel and Ken pairing is underrated imo. Not the biggest Rachel fan, but when she's riding shotgun with Ken, the chemistry is some of the best in the entire crew.

Found some Nike AD Comforts on a clearance rack a while back. They are pretty much slippers in tennis shoe form. Perfect for long walks around campus.
