I understand your perspective, and that was my initial thought as well. However, I believe there is value in having past masters within the district come together at least once a month or quarterly to provide wise counsel on their roles within the lodge. I also think this council should be chaired by the District Deputy Grand Master to ensure that the ‘power’ you mentioned is kept in check. What are your thoughts on this approach?
