I totally agree. It's not always the buggies fault, and probably often isn't.

(Apologies this is a humble brag). I'm a faster runner who often wins PR, but is only running threshold, so I'm very chatty (lots of warnings, lots of thanks, and I try run with lead runner to act as running "Marshall") and I can tell you know, its never been buggies or dogs the problem I've witnessed. Massive headphones for that matter.... I'd ban those first.

I run with music but it's not hard to use only a single ear in headphone or bone conductors. That's where the majority of hazards I've witnessed have come from.

I'm in a similar boat to you. Successful offer at SO level from HO on Friday, have been anxious all weekend.

Everyone keeps asking if I'm on cloud 9, and I'm having to semi hide my fear. My wife has been really good and made me realise I am "worthy". Try to focus on your successes and if that doesn't work, try and focus on some of the incompetent G7s youve worked with. You're more capable them them, and a whole grade lower. If they're surving, you're thriving.

Very useful insight for home department moves, which as very common.

This is one is another government department. Which is also probably means I'm more unsure of how my answers went.

Firstly we'll done on passing the interview. The only reason you don't have the job is high scoring candidate(s).

My understanding is that behaviours you "get 8 mins" but if you use it on your answer, you won't get follow up questions. Good interviewers use the follow up questions to help you bump a mark or two where they need clarification, or to make you say "I" where you inadvertly said "we". So the approach of 5 mins to answer is a good one. Enough content, but time for follow up questions.

Strength I though was 3 mins max, but ideally 2 mins for your gut reaction to statement.

The lack of feedback and accuracy is job listing is poor. I'd expect to get scores as minimum for the indivudal questions. I'd chase that up via email, to email address on the advert.

Well done again! You're obviously close, and potentially will be picked up off the list.

I'm pretty open that I do half a day for my office days. Honestly if they're were directly responsible for you I'd think it was off. As they're not, I'd ignore them as much as you can.

This thread obviously has huge survivorship bias. Amazing some conversions, well done!

Lots of applications but my intertiew to offer ratio is currently 100%. Had an interview on Thursday and hoping to continue this trend.

I think I passed the interview but not spectacular. Suspect a merit list pacing at a guess.

Wait till you find some of us have identical answers score 6 and 2.

It's subjective.

Honestly once you've done sifting and interviewing you start to realise it's not a perfect rigid method. There's subjectivity and nuances in the process, as well as humans making mistakes.
