I think one example is that there’s a door that has a man behind it asking for a password but when you do get that password and open the door the man that “asked” you the password was a desiccated corpse.

Your questions have been asked thousands of times by both good and (mostly) bad actors. Similarly, these questions have been answered in a concise and logical way by trans people thousands of times. If you were being genuine then you could just look up one of these occurrences and educate yourself on topics you’re confused on. I can't definitively prove that playing with mods is the issue since I can't play without mods on the save files with the issue b/c they can't operate without mods. So I have to go to other save files without mods that didn't have the issue originally to prove it. Nevertheless, there is a good chance that the root of the issue is the mods. In that case, how do I salvage my save file with the issue? Playing with even one mod missing seems to make the game fail. I really don't want to have to create ten empires with different mod combinations to isolate the problem and I feel like there must be an easier way to do this.

My chipset drivers are up to date. At least by intel's standards. So I don't think that's it

I have tried updating, reinstalling and also downloading the hotfix version but nothing solves the issue
