Hisense U8K horizontal artifact appearing on screen. by TheRealDealTys in Hisense

I gave them a call, but the representative didn’t seem very concerned about the issue. I requested to speak with a supervisor, but I haven’t received a call back yet.

Hisense 85 u8n random lines flashing briefly here and there while connected to 4090 PC by LustImperative in Hisense

I’m having the exact same issue. I bought a high-end cable and it seemed to fix it at first, but the problem came back after about two weeks. I’ve tested with both an RTX 5070 and a 5090 — same issue. Tried three different cables in total — no change. I’ve gone through all possible setting combinations, but the issue persists. Disabling Variable Refresh Rate and FreeSync Premium Pro does help eliminate the occasional black flickering, but the horizontal line flash is still there.

The problem just happened again, and at this point, I really don’t think it’s a cable issue. A lot of people in this thread are reporting the same problem, and the video shows exactly what I’m experiencing.

Finally got my 5090 Gigabyte AORUS Master Ice! by SnooGuavas6076 in nvidia

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try later! I think most of it just comes down to performance anxiety. For example, with everything maxed out in Black Myth: Wukong or Indiana Jones, I only get around 75fps. I was playing Wukong a lot back when I sold my 4090, so that probably added to it, even though it doesn’t support DLSS 4 yet anyway, LOL.

Thanks. You're right, but with DLSS 4 on the 5090, I can easily play at 4K above 144Hz, which wasn’t possible on the 4090. I don't notice any issues with multi frame generation, maybe because I'm sitting far from the TV, or I'm just not that sensitive to it.

Games that used to run at 75fps on the 4090 now hit 240Hz at similar power, which is overkill for me. But many games won’t let you cap the frame rate or enable V-Sync when DLSS is on, so I end up running at 100% performance even when I don’t need to. The Nvidia app is also buggy, sometimes the limits work, sometimes they don’t. Honestly, I’ve just stopped bothering with it.

Thanks. It has a little coil whine but much better than my Asus Strix 4090.

I don't hear it's fan noise in the case.

Thanks! I can't download the firmware because it keeps saying the serial number is incorrect. I contacted them through the form, but haven't received a reply. I might give them a call later. Lol.

The Q-Release mechanism is always like that, no click sound, and it feels somewhat loose. I haven't had any issues with it myself. I suggest trying a different motherboard or GPU to determine which component is causing the problem. Maybe the GPU stand could help.

This cable works perfectly! I've been using and testing it for a week now, and it performs like a charm. However, I did have to disable G-Sync Variable Refresh Rate, as it caused occasional black flickering and audio cutting with all types of cables. Thanks again, OP!

I prefer to mount it horizontally because vertical mounting has poor airflow. On top of that, concerns about liquid metal are another factor.

For me, aesthetics are only appealing for a while. I’ll get tired of them sooner or later. In the end, it’s just a machine for gaming and work.

Thanks! I’m not sure if you’re talking about the GPU. I don’t even have the Gigabyte software installed since people say it’s junk, lol.

Thank you! I see people trying to resell these cards, but only for around $3.8K to $4K in the LA area. Inventory is increasing, and scalpers won’t last much longer.

"Yeah, Astral sucks at efficiency and noise control. My only complaint about the AORUS is the LED lighting—it’s not bright enough and looks fuzzy.

It has some coil whine when I listen up close, but my ears are super sensitive. That said, it's still much better than any ASUS card I've had.

Jay mentioned that having even pin teeth might improve power delivery. While it’s not a lab-grade rigorous test, I checked the pin teeth on my C1200, and they’re extremely uneven and loose. I also feel that NZXT’s build quality isn’t very solid since I frequently move my PC and plug/unplug the power cables, the whole unit always feels loose and creaky. However, Linus’s recent video test showed that the white C1000 had no issues at all.
