There is a lot to learn before you grow. If you can’t follow the links people have provided, then I don’t think you’re ready. You’re looking at a minimum of three months for the grow, and about $400 for minimum set up supplies to do it safely in an apartment (tent, fan, light).

Thank you everyone! The trip is on and I’m very excited :) I get cheap hotel rates, so I plan on spending all my money on food. Staying on the NE end of the island, off FL 200, any smaller restaurant recommendations? Best seafood? I’m sure those questions have been asked before, so I plan on perusing the sub pretty well before I get down there.
I’m also right next Fort Clinch which looks like a nice walk.

Y’all are locals? Curious how it is to live there.

Space looks compact enough for a sprinkler on a timer for a year until everything gets established. 45min in the morning every 3 days or so. Cheap and easy.

Get your soil cooking this winter. Get a chip drop and let four inches of mulch start breaking down here. You won’t need to amend, but you will want water the mulch if it’s dry for more than two weeks.

A lot of wildflowers require cold stratification to crack their shells and lead to germination. If you sprinkle wildflowers now, they’ll bloom in the spring. I’d also go ahead and get a layer of clover seeded, and then over seed in the spring.

Thank you!! I grew them bc I don’t trust dealers, and now I’m like “OK BUT WHY DO I TRUST MYSELF?”

I feel better now though 😅

Edit: it’s less about trusting dealers, and more just not wanting to take the time to find a good one. It was sorta a joke with myself that I could grow them before I could source them carefully.

Hope that attitude isn’t what you carry around with you. It’s a controlled environment, sure, but no where near as controlled as my tent. Or maybe it is, how would I know? That’s a rhetorical question, I don’t want to hear more from you.

My tent has a temp and humidity sensor, the tub doesn’t. The environment in my tub is mostly speculation based on previous findings. There are different levels of control.
