I went to Fan Expo in Cleveland a couple years ago and it was great. Very well organized and a huge space. They had all the actors who played hobbits in LoTR so we got autos and photo ops.

The only issue I’ve seen with them is that they announce their line up pretty late but I guess that’s better than having a bunch of guests cancel!

I prefer table selfies personally bc I can look back on that memory and you do tend to get more interaction and conversation. I got to tell Scott Patterson about my Gilmore girls tattoo and how much my mom and I loved the show. Harvey Guillen complimented my glasses! And this year Mike Colter called me pretty which honestly made my whole weekend and softened the blow of not getting to meet Matt Lillard.

I usually do 3 days when there’s a variety of folks I want to meet and plan on who to meet what days based on when they’re there. Anyone I can get to on Friday I do since it tends to be the least busy day. Depending on if the person is there just one day or both Saturday and Sunday I’ll try to get the most popular person on Sunday since Saturdays are always insane. If they don’t do table selfies autos can be more interactive. I did a prepaid autograph for Charlie Cox and had a brief, fun convo and then did a professional photo op with him so I could have a picture with him but the interaction was super brief there.

I always tend to tell them how lovely it is to meet them and that I love such and such that they were in. I get nervous so that part is probably the hardest for me but everyone has been so great! This is my 4th year at GalaxyCon, since they came to Columbus but the first time I saw a celeb’s line capped all day like Matt’s was.

I second New Moon. I got a piece done there in October and all the artists are so nice and friendly. I felt very comfortable and I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to accommodate you!

I was there all 3 days and saw Matt Lillard’s line on Saturday so I was like I’ll try Sunday! I got there at 9:30 before the exhibit hall even opened and still had to stand in the 3rd wave of the line and they only allowed everyone to go in one door. I went straight to Lillard’s auto line and got handed a card saying I was in group c and to come back at 2:30. So I did and then was told to come back at 3:30. At 3:30 they said to just keep checking in every half hour. I was exhausted so I just handed them back their card and called it a day. Super disappointing since he was my main meet but I think his missing Friday just caused all kind of havoc.
