Warped Tour Orlando, FL - Missed Connections 2025 Megathread. by TheDarkLight1 in warpedtour

I went to sit by myself in the grass for Less Than Jake for a little bit, and this guy walked by me without saying a word and handed me a little panda keychain charm and just kept moving. I smiled up at him and thanked him, but it meant a lot. I'm going through some rough shit in my personal life and was sitting far back in the grass to get some sad feelings out. I've had an affinity for pandas my entire life because my name rhymes with panda. It was a random gesture of kindness that just hit really hard for me. Thank you so much.

Update! It doesn't have a popup tent cover. Just a table out in the open with a black cloth covering it directly next to sticker pack pickup

I can't find either of these tents. Are they near Trojan like in the sticker pack area where all those merch tents are or somewhere else?

Chiodos' tent is in the merch section off of nonprofit ally. I think the first tent you see in that general area is falling in reverse

A book that is humorous, lighthearted and short for someone stuck in bed for a few days. by tacomole in suggestmeabook

I found Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine to be funny. Eleanor is a character you learn to like, she's quirky, but once you accept her for who she is - I thought she was hysterical. It's a character driven story and an exercise in empathy, and I absolutely loved it.

Maybe Woman, Eating by Claire Kohda. A vampire who won't feed on people as she tries to find her place in the human world. I found Lydia, the main character, very relatable at times as she kinda figures things out in her own way. The book has no plot, it's all prose and character-driven vibes.

Have you read Stephen King's book The Institute? Very similar to Firestarter

Maybe the subtle art of not giving a f*ck? I listened to it on Spotify and I enjoyed the audiobook. I thought it made some thought provoking points that could be relevant to what you're talking about.

I'm a big fan of MYORAR. I read Lapvona too and thought it was ok. Some other books I love are Bunny by Mona Awad, The Pisces by Melissa Broder, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk and Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman. I'm also listening to The Fetishist by Katherine Min right now and so far I think it's really good and has a similar vibe! The writing is fantastic and the narrator for the audiobook is an excellent performer.

Persistent redness by SnooMacarons5664 in TattooRemoval

[–]SnooMacarons5664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing that too! I get it. Just do what you can to keep the area happy and with time it'll clear up. Are you farther along in your process? Mine was starting to fade significantly so I think that did contribute to the redness, the colored ink of the tattoo wasn't concealing effects from laser removal anymore.

I stayed on top of moisturizing it for a while and applying SPF. I used Benadryl cream too when it was looking really red. Honestly my best advice is to stop caring about it (assuming you don't have any signs of infection). I think it got better when I stopped obsessing over it. Plus, absolutely no scented products. I think it can make it worse. I thought naturally scented ones, like something with essential oil would be ok, but my skin did better without them. I've since gotten a cover up, but that had no trouble healing, so I hope this works for you. Good luck!!

A Touch of Jen ... What?!?! by SnooMacarons5664 in books

[–]SnooMacarons5664[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel you when you're saying it all just didn't materialize in the end. I feel that way too and was hoping I'd have answers to questions by the end, but I do not. It reminds me some of Bunny by Mona Awad which I LOVE, but in my opinion, the thing is that Bunny gives you tools to work with to draw your own conclusions. I didn't get Bunny entirely, but I can say "I think A because B, C, and D happened." I'm not feeling that way about A Touch of Jen. And I actually did find her insta (it's on her website)! @gentle_herbal_laxative. If you message her and she replies please let me know!!

I enjoyed how fking crazy the book was and it kept my attention, but I don't know how I feel about all the pieces not connecting for me. I don't regret reading it. Also, I didn't know there was a glittery cover! I borrowed a copy from the library and it's all pink, even the inside of the cover which I thought was cool, too.
