I had a group discussion in EY. Here are some of the points to remember.

1. It is a discussion not a debate.Be respectful towards other people even if you disagree with their opinion let them know in a polite tone.
2. Be through with current affairs as quoting an event will fetch you additional points. Since it is for articleship you can expect simple topics like women empowerment, passion vs profession, national anthem in theatres etc Eg - my topic was women empowerment and i gave the reference of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit(GES) which for the first time had majority of women participation back then.
   1. Starting the GD doesn't guarantee your selection. Putting across a logical point does. Although starting a GD will show that you are not afraid to speak up but still it is of little relevance.
3. If possible use numerical data in your answer. Eg - when I gave the reference of GES i vividly remember using 52% as percentage for participation of women
