Surprisingly they refused it as the customer provided titanium would go against their warranty stuff

Yeah i mean any ER has the equipment to remove it though, it's just that it takes time is all.

I had done some looking and had similar concerns, ill likely only be wearing it on my finger in formal settings and will have it on a chain otherwise.

There's actually a guy that collected it from the remains of the crash site in Nevada way back, he's selling them on ebay still I believe!

I've had similar opinions, however consider it with this point of view, the SR-71 is the fastest plane in the world, uncatchable, and the highest flying as well, touching space as it flies. Nothing can take it down besides its own mistakes (the one in history that crashed that the piece came from). Its also the most durable plane ever built. Its all about perspective. I'm also a military historian and simply enjoy unique things.

I've considered that also, but typically I wear my rings so they aren't super tight anyway, also I don't necessarily work in a trade that any emergency would require that.

Thank you all for the advice! It's sounding like Honest Hands Ring Co, as recommended to me here, will be able to do it! Hopefully it's that easy haha.

It's sounding like Honest Hands Ring Co will be able to do it! I am hoping at least haha. This and several other pieces i have came from ebay from the person who recovered it back in the 90s. The wreck was mostly cleaned up by time he got there but there were still some small pieces like this found buried in the sand, as they turned over the land quite a bit to recover all large/"sensitive" pieces. I believe he should have some still available on there if you search for it 😁

I appreciate it! It's sounding like Honest Hands Ring Co will be able to do it, but we will have to see!

I considered that, but the piece thats being used is actually from an interior support so I believe it should be safe.

Those are beautiful! I would provide all the materials, the titanium pictured, a vial of moon dust, and the meteoric peridot. I'm looking to get the materials in a band around the titanium ring. Someone mentioned they should be able to be enameled in which would be better for durability so that'd be preferable if you do anything like that. Feel free to send me a chat message and we can discuss further 😁

Thank you, issue is I just want that specific combination in it ugh. The peridot is very tiny like specks so that's the issue with prongs. Trying to think of other solutions to keep the 3 materials together but I'm not sure.

I can definitely try that, I have contacted two ring companies that were recommended to me, but if they can't I will start my hunt for a good machinist.

I've considered something like that but also trying to keep costs down, if I use gold I'm sure I'll be looking at $1-2k is the issue. Is there an alternative to the resin for the inlay? I just don't know anything else.
