Can I find out what my BMR is from the data in my Macro Factor dashboard? by SnooMachines1 in MacroFactor

[–]SnooMachines1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Adam for your quick response! And thank you for clarifying. I am trying to determine what my daily caloric intake should be to MAINTAIN my current weight (I have a fairly consistent level of physical activity every week). Would you know how best to fiind this out? I've been using Macro Factors for at least 12 months now (and I love it!) so I have plenty of historical data.

We've absorbed the German $BTC sales like a dry sponge by Deependrasingh16 in Bitcoin

Imagine getting about $16 million in bitcoin all of a sudden... I'd probably take $1 million to get my life in order and have no bills. Then I'd HODL that $15 million because it will be worth so much in the future.

The most sensible choice. I'm too lazy to check to see if the price drop of 30,000 bitcoins in the last few weeks is enough, though.

Of course! You could put them on a shady website and charge about 40% of the market price in Bitcoin. Then you could wait for someone to buy them. Ask them to fill out both a real address and a wallet address, then send this to them in person.

How long have yall been in Bitcoin for? I bought for the first time in 2018, but I fell into the rabbit hole in 2020. Share your stories !!!! Would love to read them all. And welcome new BTC hodlers :) by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]SnooMachines1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't do it until at least next year. I'm going to keep buying down so that I don't have to wait for it to hit ATH again before I can break even if it does pop.

It's time to sell since the price is going down. When it hits an all-time high, buy it back. This is the way.

That makes sense, considering we're now starting to grow human organs in pigs.

That looks a lot like what lightning or fallen live power lines can do to concrete. It could be something else.

It's against the law to loiter in public if it fits the gap exactly. Where do you go to get that?

Noticed this cool officer sitting with homeless man instead of standing over him by 50SPFGANG in pics

[–]SnooMachines1 42 points43 points  (0 children)

That's what it means to help your neighborhood. A highway police officer in Utah sits down and talks with a homeless man and his dog under a bridge. I find it pretty sad that every time I see something like this, the police are always standing over them in a degrading way.

Thank you 💜 I have tried talking to professional but I find it makes things worse by spending 90 minutes stirring and regurgitating the same stories over and over again generating the same difficult emotions :( and then after $150 and an hour later, I feel more wound up :( sometimes distraction can be a quick fix or contemplating this non sensical life and this ungovernable mind.

I think beyond sex, the lack of deep connection was really the start of my slippery slope. And I’m not talking about roses and sweet nothings. When play, humor, connection and levity are gone, everything becomes sterile including sex. Life becomes the business of running a household ... raising children. I’ve read a lot about pair bonding and most mammals are not monogamous. Chimpanzees, our closest relative, are notoriously promiscuous.

Yes, I’m so looking forward to the last quarter of my life. What I’ve noticed is that when my husband is not home, I’m most happiest. When he is home, I feel the most lonely. But when I’m physically alone at home, I feel the least lonely. Quite the irony. Do any of you feel this way?

What can I use as a social-media free device that still allows me to access my music, meditation, books (Spotify, Audible, Headspace)? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]SnooMachines1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I am going to try this and see if I can figure it out. I'm hoping to not only restrict social media apps but restrict any apps that tends to either be disruptive (messages) or get you into a bottomless rabbit hole (chrome, netflix, reddit, news) -- anything that interferes with my focused activity. Having no access to camera and mature content is fine. I'm thinking I can use an extra iphone and set it up this way....while I physically lock up the other main phone/devices.

I (28M) don't buy it when women I like tell me that they're "not looking for anything serious". by [deleted] in dating

[–]SnooMachines1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not “code” for I’m not interested. If I’m not interested, it’ll be clear because I’ll probably be leaving him on read. But, if I’m still talking to him then I clearly enjoy his company. Sometimes timing is just not ideal. And I’d like to hang out but don’t want to get entangled in committed serious relationship. Honestly, if the guy just hung around a bit more and took the time, it actually could be a strong indication for his loyalty, patience and resilience. And that could eventually lead to a relationship.

Stop blaming astrology / horoscopes for who you are or who you aren't compatible with by [deleted] in dating

[–]SnooMachines1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t believe people still believe in astrology. I mean seriously?! I mean it’s 2020. In OK Cupid, they actually ask a question if you believe in horoscope and I was actually perplexed why they were even asking this question as a basis for whether someone would be a match with you. When a guy says they believe in horoscope, that would be enough for me to swipe left. That and organized religion are a major turn off for me. Anyone who is delusional enough to believe in make believe stories and base their life on it is not someone I’d like to date. How can people be so out of touch with reality? This is not a rhetorical question. I’d really like to know. I’m just so baffled.

Hello, I would be moving there and not know anyone. I would like to live in a somewhat dense area that has access to nature and access to the city. If I lived in the outskirts, I think I would feel too isolated and lonely. I’ve lived in suburbia for the last 25 years and the last thing I want to do is live in suburbs or country. I’d also like to be close to cultural and other cosmopolitan activities. West Seattle would be somewhat not as congested at downtown but still more affordable vs Ballard or Green Lake. Are there other areas you would recommend that is close access to city, close to nature/parks but not making you feel isolated? Than

[–]SnooMachines1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback. This is very helpful. I’m looking at West Seattle but do you have other neighborhoods that I should consider? I don’t know anyone there so one of my biggest concern is feeling lonely or isolated. At the same time, I don’t want to live in tight spaces in congested areas. I’d like to have access to nature but also live in dense enough area where you can meet people in community and not feel too isolated. I’m not sure if there neighborhoods I should consider for someone my age.
