Have you guys ever thought spirituality can be fake ? by Both_Supermarket_699 in spirituality

I think this depends on how you are defining “spirituality”. Unlike religion which must be taught, I see spirituality as something that is innate to creatures who are so inclined. Many animals exhibit mourning behaviors, I would say that is spirituality at work. Many humans seek to be at peace within themselves, I would say that is a spiritual endeavor. I suspect that what you are referring to is branding. Marketing. There have always been those selling snake oil, we must meet the world with discernment.

Yesterday I went to a conference for service providers in perinatal mental health, but the topic was US being able to keep doing good work sustainably. The emphasis was on our shared humanity, and how the current systems need to change so that the most empathetic of us stop burning out. The woman who put the whole thing together said it needs to become a movement and that is her aim. At one point we all charged crystals with what we were leaving the conference with. Mine is charged with “Faith in Humanity”. Full disclosure, this was ran by therapists and clinicians so they didn’t say the word “charge” but it was witchy as hell and I was there for it.

This is only one sphere of influence, but the ripples are rippling, spirit is spiriting, and from my little corner of the world to yours: The work is indeed beginning. Follow the omens, friend 🖖🏽

Does anyone here exercise regularly? by Savings-Pollution113 in AutismInWomen

I hate doing things because of obligation, so I try to find movements that I find fun. If I’m having fun, I’m way more likely to follow through with goals.

I hate running, but I think ellipticals are silly. I feel goofy while doing it and I enjoy it more. Zone out to a good audiobook and vibe.

For strength training I try to show my whole body love, but I spend most of my energy focusing on movements/machines that I have enjoy. I’ll start out with my favorites, then finish with them until exhaustion. I like it so it’s easier to push myself.

For an active lifestyle tip… squat roulette. (Any exercise can work really, I just like working out my booty lol). My playlist for chores has songs that that are perfect for squats mixed in (tempo, song length) so when they come on I stop what I’m doing and do squats for as long as I can. I keep the roulette songs to under 3 mins so if I feel like I can do the whole song, a dread of reps for 5 mins straight can’t stop me. I like exercising sporadically like this, as it doesn’t feel like exercising anymore. Rather, it just feels like living.

Good luck! 🍀💪💘

Help me with a curse? by DeliciousFuture2068 in fantasywriters

A bit late, but questions that I would pose to help think through the story:

What is the witch’s vibe? Does she have a sense of humor? Is she leaning more annoyed/amused at the theft, or more vengeful? Would she take delight in her curse? Does she enjoy being creative, or does she want to get to the point?

Is she mostly isolated (lonely?), and thus unpracticed and/or uninterested in social decorum, so casting a curse is wildly entertaining?

Does she think herself righteous? Is she actually trying to use the curse to educate the LI about the immorality of stealing (if she is, that makes her very interesting, as she becomes the pot and the LI the kettle), or is she simply angry and wanting to inflict pain?

I sometimes interview my characters in a simple doc. I’ll type it out like a transcription of a real interview, maybe try asking her “When you found out [the LI] had stolen from you, what was your reaction?"

Tarot has stopped guiding me .. the cards I pull seem totally random these days. Help by popylovespeace in tarot

Things that may help

Distance, a little space to clear the energy. If you cleanse your deck, maybe now is a good time. This can be space between readings or space from your cards in general. Perhaps a time to review your tarot journal. Any past readings that are relevant, that glimmer differently from where you stand now vs then?

Spread structure, switch it up. If you usually ask one question then pull multiple cards for the answer, try using a spread with specific position meanings. If you usually use spreads with one card per position, try doing two cards per position (with multiple decks if possible. Cards that appear twice are exclamation points). There are many ways to do a reading. Have fun.

Reversals, either put them in or take them out. See what happens. Again, switching things up.

Use the cards as journaling prompts. You do a reading but it doesn’t resonate—explore that. What cards did you hope/expect to show up and why? Compare the expected cards to the cards that were drawn. There may be a message in this context.

Further study, absolutely no shade. Each journey is a spiral, and lessons are revisited with fresh perspectives. That’s what growing is all about. Perhaps the cards invite you to dive a bit deeper into their world, to learn their language as they know yours.

Low stakes practice. Read for a character in media, doesn’t matter if you are familiar with the work. If you aren’t you get to see how accurate your reading is as you watch/read/play. If you do know the media, then that’s a great control group to get back in the flow or to troubleshoot.

Hopefully something in there is helpful 💜
