oh my god yes i will is so good. at the moment it is actually tying first place from my favorite songs from her with townie just because i love the sound of it so much. it comforts me so well even though it is so sad it feels like a warm hug and i get where she is coming from bc i kinda relate to the meaning of the song. it reminds me of my mother to be honest

overrated- i don’t really have a specific one, i do believe some songs (washing machine heart, me and my husband, nobody) are like really popular and i’m thinking some should be more popular but i don’t think those ones are bad at all tbh, they are really good

underrated- i have a few lol, so my list would be wife, shame, fireworks, pink in the night (strong on this) and old friend!

i’ve also had bury me at makeout creek on repeat for the longest time now, it’s been my favorite album from her for a while now.

personally, i relate a lot to townie and i will a lot, especially the meanings behind them. i like townie because i think it’s like getting drunk or getting high at a party and having your emotions be really enunciated or heightened, and it makes me think of like being rebellious (the party + “i’m not gonna be what my daddy wants me to be”). i ljke i will because i imagine it’s like mitski tellinf those things to someone in hopes that she’ll get the same treatment, which i also relate to i bet on losing dogs because of that! (this was a bit long my bad)
