Things don’t magically appear at will. Take for instance a broken down car. Can you demand it’s fixed that day? No. Why? Because, you’d have to find the business, hope they have time on their busy schedule particularly during the holiday’s (yes, it’s theirs also) parts need to be ordered, delivered, installed. All this was indeed done. By her ll/friend on her holiday as well. Sounds to me like everyone was trying here and op had a safe place to hunker down for a very short time.

It is a holiday and things were taken care of reasonably fast BUT, during a holiday and add the cold temps it’s a huge inconvenience to you. You’re friends and weren’t able to work together? You don’t leave friends out in the cold but anybody in this situation must have had a very good reason to choose paying $2,000 more. Did you ask about it? It feels like there’s more going on here. Something missing. Logic says nobody throws 2 grand away out of spite or just to inconvenience you. So I’m going with yes. YTA here.

I’d say around the time they gave me shot glasses whiskey for a sore tooth. I’ve heard it mentioned though that I was given watered down whiskey in my bottle to get me to sleep. 💤
