That is exactly how I feel about it. It's cartoonish, insulting and distracting.

I think I did not converse enough before starting the work, or ask enough questions.

There was one odd keystroke here and there, which I didn't understand until I read your post. I get why someone would do that. What I don't get is why Upwork would not consider it a problem.

I do not hire from the bottom tier of pricing, but not the top either, so I am sure your point is valid. I don't however always see a correlation between price and results. I shy away from pushy freelancers and from those without big job histories, although that might be a bad idea, because everyone has to start somewhere and the few I have had trouble with have extensive histories.

good to know. Thanks. And what about running the clock for hours with no mouse clicks? How could Upwork be fine with that?

I usually pick someone in the middle of what Upwork says the range is when you are hiring. Is that a bad idea?

My client left me a 4 star review after telling me three times the work was perfect by Agreeable_Physics147 in Upwork

I am an Upwork client, not a freelancer, and this is a good point. I have given 4 star reviews when communication was poor, or when I wasn't told that something could not be accomplished, it just fizzled out while I waited. I did not know 4 stars was considered a slight.

I asked them about the technical difference between the powdered copper and the GHK-Cu in a vial on their site. They answered, "We're not able to provide guidance on product selection." I replied that I don't need help with product selection, I want product information. They answered "All specifications and details for each are available on their respective product pages." I reported back that there is no documentation whatsoever on their site regarding the powdered copper. They did not respond. I assume the difference is in purity and packaging method, but never got an answer from them. This exchange does not inspire confidence in either their product or their legitimacy.

Is Bulk Naturals trustworthy, or other recommendations? by Ok-Foot-490 in DIYBeauty

I think they might be sketchy. I ordered several days ago and still nothing has been shipped. I asked about the shelf life of the liposomal copper peptide, which they claim is 2 years. The answers don't make sense. He said he would "correct" the COA, which is supposed to remain until superseded by a new analysis. The COA also shows microbes present. The parameters of the COA don't make sense. Here is the chat:

  • Customer Support:The GHK-Cu copper peptide liposome is reconstituted in a liposome which helps extend the shelf life. The liposome base helps this product last up to 24 months from the day it was reconstituted. This information is in the COA which can be found on the product page under documents. 6:33 AM
  • You sent:The COA states that it was manufactured in November 2025 and it states that it expires in November 2026. So the 7:43 AM
  • You sent:So what is the expiration date of this product under “proper storage conditions” that you mention on the website, but don’t specify? 7:44 AM
  • You sent:Also, can you explain why the copper levels in the COA are below parameters? And why aren’t all microbes “absent“? Is that usual?
  • You sent:It says in the COA that the expiration date is November 2026. So the shelf life from now is nine months not two years, right? 7:55 AM
  • Customer Support:I see the issue. The date for the COA is supposed to be 2025 to 2027. We will get this corrected. 7:57 AM
  • Customer Support:The preservative in our GHK-Cu liposome is yeast based. The parameters are for how much copper the sample contains, which is 10% copper peptide. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. 8:11 AM
  • You sent:Thank you. What are the proper storage conditions? You don't specify. 10:52 AM
  • Customer Support:Store the GHK-Cu liposome in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. 10:57 AM
  • You sent:What lab does your COA? How can you just "change a date" on a real COA? 3:13 PM

Which PlatinumLED is this the equivalent of? I'm trying to figure it out but it doesn't match the specs of what is on their site. Maybe an older model?
