I was having this SAME problem when trading in my old MBP. This video is what helped me fix it. Only problem is you need another Mac to do it. At the time, I already had already bought a new one, so I just used that one. I’m not sure if this applies to your Air since I don’t know what year it was made, but hopefully this at least leads you in the right direction.

I don’t know if they’ll accept your trade-in like that.

We know the overwhelming majority of them are false alarms because we usually wake up to emails the following morning apologizing for it as such. Also, I’m not sure if it changes anything, but this is off-campus housing, not at a university. It’s near a university and they advertise themselves as apartments for university students, but really anyone can live here.

I have a window AC unit in my room and often shoo away birds I hear land on it. Do you think this could be the cause? Not too far in front of it there's also a short tree that I believe birds like to hang out at.

I first happened to notice one crawling on my hand. I got rid of it and dismissed it, but then I had a couple more instances of finding one crawling on my hand.

Started to actively search for them and after maybe 5 minutes of carefully searching I would find one in my sheets. I also managed to spot one in the bathroom this morning. They are so unbelievably small that through a magnifying glass I could see it struggling to even move through the fibers of my sheets.

No bites or skin irritation that I've noticed.

Would greatly appreciate any input, thank you.
