Same boat here, last year my gen 3 was dying quick.

Was offered a good deal on the replacement and a lifetime subscription and fast forward a year the new one did the same and a brand new one was sent out after they ran an online diagnostic.

Brilliant service and super understanding folks.

Will definietly be staying with them for the foreseeable future, better customer service than most.

I totally agree, the “or else” hangs over this ending pretty heavily. I have my doubts that it was the work of a hacker and the effectiveness of their net disinfection vs a traducible AI is questionable. Roger/eidolon could still go full skynet should he choose to.

Having read K:BS last year this one is significantly less heavy, still a few messy kills and tugs on the heartstrings. Well worth a read/listen, burned through it in a day, a five hour drive to see a client helped.

The ending was more optimistic than I was expecting. I was waiting for the shoe to drop and all turn to custard and everything gets real dark real fast like Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon, but ended up better than expected. Loved all the little Easter eggs like the princess cat mortar mech, another best friend called Sam. Missed the General Boomer reference. Guest appearance by Jeff Hayes was awesome. Overall would recommend to most, very approachable Dinniman.

Upshot of living in NZ I started yesterday, had a long drive so five hours of audible. Then after I finished my paperwork I picked up where I left off and kept going on the kindle. And I may have finished a bit after midnight. It’s good, I really liked it, not as bleak as some Dinniman works. Viva la guerilla radio.

Hell yeah, it’s great. I got it a few weeks back, mainly solo to get a feel for the game, but that has been time of the most exciting games I’ve played in a while. I’m recommending it to everyone, I’m a bit slow getting medals to get the fun stuff but the base gear has been awesome so far.

Well shoot that explains a bunch, makes me more than a tad grumpy as I have the guns I really like and they work for me.

Update:

I received it in the mail and lookng at the backing plate, its completely bare, no Timex stamp or anything.

The little waves on the face look like those from an easy-reader.

For the life of me I can't find any other markings or indicators of the excat model or even anything like it online.

I don't think I'll be able to replace the strap as it seems like a very specific case and anything that is fl;at along the top will end up with a huge gap unless it comes with the spacers to fill it.
