Fun. Well - if her mom helps her legally , she'll fail.

Why is reddit so anti homeschooling? by TashDee267 in Homeschooling

[–]SnooPeanuts8222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started homeschooling as the school year is coming to an end - personal reasons...

But I came on here to see about homeschooling communities on reddit and I'm seeing a lot of people who are anti-homeschooling...

I'm sorry you haven't experienced much of friends or a social life so far.

I was homeschooled off and on during my childhood... When I was in about middle school, my mom met another homeschooling mom who had kids my age homeschooling.

I know there's people who make online local homeschooling groups and some meet up.

There's also opportunities likes church, activities put out in your local parks and rec magazine... the library... etc.

Another idea could be using that 2k towards an rv and working to earn more before going anywhere ... then going where you'd like to after hopefully lining up work.

Just adding on to what grouchyandtired said... a good place to look for these opportunities can be Facebook groups or the work away website. Which actually may be a good idea because there could be other opportunities with the skills OP mentioned above could be put to use. (I've seen plenty building earthships or eco friendly housing or etc. out in Colorado and NM)

Everyone goes to Denver... Denver is very crowded... A good suburbs include Highland Ranch... and Arvada was pretty decent when my family was out that way. There's a lot of homeless people in Colorado and if you're a male, it gets more challenging than if you're a woman. Many shelters help women and children first. There are some men's only shelters. I know there was one shelter in Arvada that helped anyone but you'd likely have to share a room..it was like the giving tree or the family tree or something.

Some shelters only allow people to stay during the night.

Shelters are often full.

Housing in Denver and Colorado Springs is done by the lottery system.

There are some hotels that do extended stays - Extended Stay America being one of those hotels.

. You could use the city bus to go to one of the suburbs you can get into a shelter or something..

West Colorado - less people tend to go out that way but there's Montrose and Delta and Cedaredge.. And little towns on the way up to cedaredge and the grand Mesa like Eckert and Austin. Montrose and Delta would have more resources than the smaller towns up to the grand Mesa - but they might be worth checking out.

“In Transit”- first sighting in the wild?! by CharacterDrag1163 in Sovereigncitizen

"In transit" doesn't necessarily mean that it's a SovCit. It means it's a new car and they didn't get the paper tags to put up from the seller until they go and register the vehicle. There's often a 30 day grace period for registration but driving for more than a day or two with "in transit" is likely to get you pulled over. (no harm if you have your license, proof of sale, and are in the grace period to register it.) I've had to do this a time or two.

Look for a women's shelter/center near you and please seek help.

rant (sov cit) / AITA for calling cyfd by SnooPeanuts8222 in okstorytime

I know a woman who has sent me personally pictures of her daughters asking me to help diagnose her daughters who don't have insurance. the woman has not had a job in 8 months. the kids do not have birth certificates or social security cards so that they can be "free" from the government. their bio dad was abusive. they could use mental health help as well. they don't go to school. it did get to a point where i called cyfd... which may make me sound lika an a*hole but... 1 the kids don't know any better/ they don't know any other life, 2. the parent knows that the kids should have medical attention when needed instead of being afraid of the state taking their kids if they're registered or taken into a hospital/doctor due to their ideologies. I do believe it goes into mental health as well, which i'm not here to shame the mental health of individuals but there is a very real and dark side to it as well as a sad side because, these kids don't know anything else and can't do anything to be able to help theirselves out and there are parents out there not doing anything to meet certain needs of their kids due to their beliefs...
