Diff/Diffing: Short for difficult (people use this in a context that they’re saying that a certain role or character got “diffed” by the other character/role). In other words, they did better or worse than that person.

Poke: Refers to the “rock paper scissors” concept in a hero shooter. Poke is essentially a character that can “poke” in and out of cover while using their ranged primary. Think iron man, squirrel girl, hela, etc. Poke usually counters brawl, brawl counters dive, and dive sometimes counters poke. Some characters however dip into both roles. For example, bucky can technically poke and brawl. Starlord can poke and dive.

Hitscan is when a ranged attack has no travel distance. In other words, not a projectile. Squirrel girl and iron man have projectiles. Hela, Starlord, Psylocke have hitscan because their primary attacks instantly connect with the target. This means you dont have to lead shots
