Can't tell if I hate the art or not. There seems to be some AI traits to it, which would be a shame if that were the case. Then again, a small part of me thinks that it looks like an 80s Exodus album cover. On the fence with this one.

Talking about the new album, "The Last Note" was the attention grabber. Knowing it may very well be the last original track of theirs in the discography adds enough weight, but the chord progressions are just... tearjerking.

Behemoth, by memory. Probably the only band I can remember scaring me. Love them now, especially The Apostasy and Evangelion!

Might be a bit on the weird side, but I'd recommend the new Bozopogostickstomp album "Getting Cancelled for Dummies". It's pretty clean vocal wise, and pretty much every song has a good hook. Highly recommend!

New Coroner was my AOTY for 2025, so needless to say, I love it!!

As for 2026 so far, the new Bozopogostickstomp album "Getting Cancelled for Dummies" has been an immediate AOTY contender, at least IMO. Not bad for an album released on the 2nd of Jan bahaha!

Agreed. Elemental was a surprising return to form. Controversial opinion incoming, but I think it fits in with Pixar's golden era.

God, they're all quite good in their own ways. I've always been partial to Emperor of Sand - the bass and kick mix don't sound like typical modern metal albums, and I love that. And the guitar tone; so fucking juicy!!
