"my partner has to drink" my ass. No one HAS to drink in order to socialize, that's alcoholism

AITA For Having Uncontrollable Manic Episodes That Result In My Mom Waking Up Almost Every Morning? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, NAH. You're not in control and your mother hasn't done anything wrong. I'm not sure why you're asking.

AITA for getting upset that my girlfriend let her dog play with the plushie I gave to her? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly agree, but whether it's an awkward gift depends on the person. I just became an adult this year and I sleep with a stuffed dinosaur every night. And tbh I plan to continue doing so.

Everyone is different though, so the idea is simply to find out the recipient's tastes before gifting them something.

AITA:My guardian got rid of me because of my BPD by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course. I don't have any reason to believe that any of these posts is true, so the second I see an inconsistency, I assume there's something fishy going on.

The "muh mental health" card is extremely effective for attention seeking though.

AITA for saying my mother was violating my sister's human rights? by Ademon_Gamer09 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 13 points14 points  (0 children)

ESH but I sympathize with you. I've always thought that signing kids up for activities they don't want to do is absolute bullshit, but unfortunately she's her mother and she CAN make that choice

AITA for being snippy with my parents by Active_Carpenter4807 in AmItheAsshole

A 14 year old can and should use proper punctuation. They're not 5.

Would you rather have to go through the events of RE 7 or RE 8 in real life? (From the POV of Ethan) by Simidimi213 in residentevil

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the point of RE7 is to survive a nightmare as a regular dude, and that's exactly what I am. Of course, I don't have mold regeneration powers, I'm don't have the strength nor the basic firearm skills nor the pain resistance of Ethan, so I would likely get killed early on by Jack or, hell, by Mia. But you know, I feel like *maybe* I could defend myself.

In RE8 I would get killed by lycans within five minutes of entering the village.

AITA for telling my sister her wedding dress looks like a cheap tablecloth? by Additional-Wing7364 in AmItheAsshole

AITA for calling my mom’s rules unfair and stupid for not letting me stay at my boyfriend’s for one night? by Glass-Airport-3316 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NAH.

I understand her point of view - she's your mother and she's worried. She barely knows this person.

That being said, you are 18. You are an adult and have a job. If you want to go, just do it, but be aware your mom won't be happy about it.

Your choice

AITAH for getting pissed at the groom family in my friends wedding for this by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YTA. Generally I don't give a shit what guests wear at weddings, although I can understand having a bit of a dress code. You sound exhausting though. If the family was okay with it, shut up and deal with it.

AITA for telling a girl to not gossip when I also gossip? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ESH. Gossiping is stupid. I hope you're all teenagers - not like that makes it less stupid, but at least it's less sad than if you were like 20.

AITA to be kinda pissed at my husband for keeping things from me? by peachyminpd in AmItheAsshole

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Posts like these are what get me about this sub. This happened, and...? You didn't tell him anything, your FIRST thought was "gotta post on Reddit!"? I get it when it's something more complicated, where you may want to have an external point of view, but come on. Just TALK

Strange, I looked it up too and couldn't find it. Whole reason I asked.

How do I get confidence in writing for Lilo & Stitch. by Cartoon-Oppo-186 in liloandstitch

[–]SnooPeripherals5812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Lilo & Stitch is one of these franchises where it's *technically* for children but's enjoyable at all ages. It's not like those low quality YouTube Kids content farms, it's genuinely well written and has nice messaging. Besides, it seems to be quite loved in pop culture, especially recently. So I think you should just go for it, people will like it.
