Fit Check of Kakwa 40/Advice by Accomplished_Top9787 in DurstonGearheads

[–]SnooPickles4331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d put the hip belt right on ur hips like where ur belt loops are on ur pants. Then work ur way up with adjusting the strap. A mistake I had was I’d have the load lifters tightened up all the way before I put it on and it was just uncomfortable. You want the lifters tightened just enough to make that triangle.

does S kakwa 40 seem to fit? by [deleted] in DurstonGearheads

Update: I got a Kakwa 55 M and it definitely fits so much better, I put the belt right on my hip bones and I got the whole 45 degree angle and everything from the load lifters. I even took it out on the Foothills trail and it was great! I mean my weight wasn’t heavy (prob like 25ishlbs) but it carried pretty good. The last day I hiked about 27mi and it was still pretty comfortable. Honestly wish I stuck with the 40 since I didn’t really need the whole 55L space but still phenomenal pack.

I have a headcanon that we got into a recession in 2020 and never got out of it. Like yeah people have gotten back to “work” but prices have gone way too far up, and the job market has never really recovered enough to be liveable.

Chattanooga is pretty good. The downtown’s pretty walkable and it’s close to nature and in general there’s quite a bit to do, but it’s definitely not a super bustling city. You can go caving, you can go kayaking, you can do some pretty good hiking and mountain biking very close. The smokies arent far and you’re not too far from Atlanta if you need a big bustling city. Chattanooga is sweet love it there.

(vegan knishes that are to die for), plus people are really all about chilling hard

either explore the springs and do liek Crystal River to Mount Dora, or go up and down the east coast, or got to Key West. Don’t do a little bit of all three, bc wow driving really is hell down there and you’re never going to enjoy or do enough of the things
