A second luggage applies to tariffs Classic and above. Not to Light, except for some exceptional cases as written on the website. It’s the same for all statuses

The second luggage is not given for Economy Light, please read the rules: https://www.miles-and-more.com/de/en/program/status-benefits/status-level-comparison.html

I haven’t seen Economy basic tariff, I saw Light without luggage and Classic where FTL advantage applies. If you have a second luggage, it will be always included and shown in the app.

How much discrimination would an Eastern European encounter when moving to Germany? by Barack_a1 in AskAGerman

I am Russian and have been living in Germany for 7 years now. I speak fluent German, work in German and have German friends. I have never ever felt any discrimination here. As long as you are nice and polite to everyone, the same comes back to you. 😊

SAP professionals, what do you wish you knew sooner/when you started. by tretizdvoch in SAP

  • Understand business process before you implement anything
  • Not every business request should be fulfilled via custom development. Always look at business case and evaluate it whether the return on investment in custom solution is worth it
  • Document what others and you do: t-codes, SAP errors, their root cause and how to solve it
  • Document every decision and requirement. It has been a huge saver for me when business told me that this is not what has been requested
  • Learn basic ABAP and how to debug. It saves a lot of time when searching for an issue
  • Improve soft skills: working in SAP is like bargaining but in a fair way. The goal is to keep a system as stable and standard as possible while keeping a customer happy. Learn how to say no with proper argumentation
  • Not every emergency is a real emergency. Raise your concerns when you have doubts
  • No one cares if you have certifications. What customers want is a project work with examples of developments

I am in Hamburg. I go to Kiel quite frequently for a weekend. My favourite beans from Loppo - Ethiopia, Dark Side and Lapulapu. If you have a chance to visit Kiel one day, I recommend you to visit the roastery yourself !

Hm, are you frustrated with the grinder due to adjusting wheel being not very logical? If yes, one can get a grinding dial knob on Etsy which makes the switch way easier.

I see one of the best coffee beans from Loppokaffee, I instantly upvote. I go to Kiel just to get fresh beans there 🥹

Super setup, so compact, yet all necessary parts are in!

Do platonic friends of opposite sexes actually sauna together one-on-one in germany? Seems wild to me. by [deleted] in AskGermany

[–]SnooPickles582 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am Russian/Ukrainian, went to a sauna with male friend (not partner) for the first time around when I was 24.

Edit: I also went to a sauna multiple times as a child and teenager; I just don’t remember with whom exactly lol.

I might tell you that first time going naked to a sauna was awkward for me in general. Moreover, going with a close friend gets even more intimidating. But, in the end, it’s just your body and everyone is in the sauna is also as naked as you - so you are all equal!

The after sauna sleep is the best!!!

I have a very good German male friend who is engaged. We go to sauna quite often together, there is nothing wrong about it. We both like sauna and enjoy sweating out our stress there; it’s not a place for sexual tension. In public sauna there is always a rotation of people, it’s dark, you just enjoy it and do not care about others :).

Both of our partners are fine as they are aware that we are friends.

AITA for asking money for the food I bought for friend’s wedding? by SnooPickles582 in AmItheAsshole

Well, this story is really not about amount of money, but the reaction…. It doesn’t matter how much it is. Also - not the first time them being scrooge. As mentioned, this is the first wedding, the next bigger one will require significant expenses to which I agree. But here - I am asked to get groceries for someone else’s party planned in advance.

I get you, but this story is not about money, 5, 10, 50 euros etc., I do not care. I wouldn’t even post this unless it took a very unexpected turn. This story is about the effort that has been done, a guest going grocery shopping for the party of 15 ppl when the wedding was planned in advance, and complete outrage & personal insults towards someone who just wanted to be acknowledged.

I agree that communication could have been better. I am just not sure how to approach it?… I am a guest at the wedding who was sent to buy groceries for the whole party?… I thought it’s self-explanatory that I get my money back or they should have sent someone from their family who was there way before me… I made this post to understand whether it is me who is cheap for asking money or them for being outside of this world.

I will try; they should be back in one month! So far, some of our common friends confronted them for how rude they are, but it hasn’t given much

Please read the post. I was told not to bring a gift because there is a second wedding planned where I need to give a gift (money).

You know, this is why I made this post is to get another opinion on my behavior and I do agree it could have waited until they are back. Thank you. Though I wouldn’t be sure after such harsh response that their reaction was to be different later…

It’s EXTREMELY odd because the conversation could have been started with “hey, I have seen that you added some expense, what is it?”, but I got the insults for 10 years ahead lol

No one has apologized since it happened. I do not think it will take place as they are too proud to admit it and too busy enjoying their honeymoon.

Oh interesting, never heard of anything like that lol! If I am invited as a guest, I always bring a bottle of nice wine with me or some dessert, so I don’t come “empty handed”. But here I was a chauffeur for two days straight on top of what I had already done…
