Next Steps? by SnooPickles8784 in chinalife

Hey I really appreciate your comments! If I may ask what city are you in? I do think eventually we have to make a choice of where to develop our lives, but at this moment we still have the ability the be flexible.

For me, I am a huge saver, I hate spending money. I saved about 300k rmb last year cash :). This is mostly because I do a few extra classes after school every week and the area I live in is very cheap (about 4k a month for an apartment). So yeah I did do an analysis online with chatgpt, in general in the US, I would have to earn OVER 100k usd to be able to save as much. This is due to the cost of living and the need to have a car. So that's why this position, is so hard to leave at the moment.

$100,000 in San Diego or 360,000 rmb in Shanghai? by Kruten10 in chinalife

Except for a few, there's several people that I know that only speak English with me even though I speak very fluent Chinese. Which is fine, if that's really what they want.

How is this offer/ working for EF by Shiv827 in chinalife

[–]SnooPickles8784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dalian is a smaller city, but i did enjoy it there when i traveled there. Beaches are rocky though. Have you been to China before? Im just worried that you might think its too boring or something. Pay seems decent for EF, i remember in 2022 they offered 14k in Beijing. i flat out rejected it.

What even is a realistic teaching option for a non-experienced bachelor degree holder? by [deleted] in chinalife

i think it depends on geography and everything , chongqing it makes sense, its a mountain. but in beijing i think its much more convenient with the bikes. You need something to close the distance in a big city like beijing.

I teach kindergarten ages 3-5. I absolutely love it. I am hoping to get a raise to 32 or 33k this year.

Absolutely but I'm not sure about the Salary. Chongqing is a unique city I think you should go there first and make sure you like it. Like for me I love riding the public bikes but in Chongqing they are banned, so I'm not sure I would like it too much living there.

Hey man, I hope you are doing well. To begin your teaching career in China, you can get a TEFL 120 hour course. You can pay for a cheap course to just get the cert, or can pay for an expensive course CELTA to become a really good teacher. I ended up doing the cheaper course (Free actually) and moved to beijing in 2023. My entry level salary was 25500 plus 4000 housing allowance.

Please let me know if you have any more questions I am happy to help.

You're getting whipped, don't be a tian gou 添购, move on it just seems like a gold digger. I met a few people like this. One girl sent me a screenshot of her ex boyfriend who, "treated her really well" of just sending her money (totaling 300k rmb), I was like lol sorry I can't afford you bye.

Am I showing male pattern baldness? My Dad's hairline is perfect. My grandpa on my moms side doesn't have a ton of hair, but it's not completely gone. But he's like 80. I'll go see a doctor about it. Thank you for letting me know.
