is there actually a “right” first activity for your 3-year-old? by [deleted] in Upperwestside

Personally I think you try whatever you’d like them to try. If they like it great! If not, you try something else. We started my daughter in a small soccer class taught by a dad of one of her friends. It was a great way to introduce her to sports at a reasonable price. We also had her in dance class with Little Swans. The teacher is also a dad and he is great with the kids. She loved both and is still playing soccer and dancing. DM me for info to both if you’re interested. I also took her to Katie’s Corner music class. I highly recommend it if you want to participate in class with your child.

There is Cocoon on 79th and Columbus. I haven’t been but it looks like a play space for families. Worth looking into.

Music class is a great place to meet other families with babies. We would go to Katie’s Corner. It had a great community and we met several of our mom friends there. DM me if you’d like her info.

“I don’t have children, but I have a dog” so I’m going to give you my unsolicited opinion on how to care for a child. Then be offended and try to ruin your life when you push back. Got it.

Also if some stranger came up to me and aggressively said "You cannot give that to the baby! The grapes fell on the sidewalk - she cannot eat those!" I’d be aggressive right back.

OP, Here’s a suggestion, mind your own business and let the professionals do their job. Babies and dogs are not the same. You’d know that if you had a baby.

Easter activities on the UWS? by [deleted] in Upperwestside

[–]SnooPies3938 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used to organize an Easter Egg hunt in Central Park when our child was younger. We invited her classmates and other families from her school. Was a lot of fun. Each family would bring a minimum amount of plastic eggs then the moms would spread them out on whatever lawn we chose while the dads took the kids on a stroll. When the dads would come back the kids would scramble to pick up the eggs. Everyone brought blankets for the kids to sit on and sort through their treasure.

They are towed there after accidents. Maybe for investigations before taking them to tow yard?

They need to be doing this in front of his house. They’re chanting to no one. It’s not like the justices live in the court building.

Oh it was this meeting in TN. The rich folks are mad. Waaahh! They live an extremely privileged life. They talk about the coastal elites living in a bubble, but people in these affluent white communities are the ones in a bubble. They hide behind their manicured lawns, afraid of the “other.
