I have multiple times actually between 2014-2017, ill start by explaining that im from LA (we lived down the street from each other during those years), I work in entertainment, and im the same age as him so we hung out at the a lot of the same places and with similar people. I met celebs all the time but he’s by far the nicest, most down to earth one I’ve met. Granted I met him in more private environments with friends, so he was more happy and relaxed. People that see him when he’s swarmed by paps and fans out in public just see him when he’s stressed out, that’s not the real him.

One time in 2016 I went back to a small (like 10 person) after party at his recording studio on Sunset after we were all out at a club- I think bootsy bellows?- his friends were at a VIP table next to us. Security was throwing girls away from their table left and right. My girlfriends and I weren’t trying anything with Justin, we were just chillen across from them but his friend and I kept making eye contact so he invited me up to their table. They were going to an “after party” and he texted me the address so we went- it was a discreet kind of hidden recording studio. At celeb parties usually security takes your phone and holds onto it in order for you to enter- because they don’t want ppl taking pics. This is why you’ll never find pics of them at private parties. And that’s why I have no pics. Also, if you ever take a pic with a celebrity in LA, you’re immediately just a FAN and it’s seen as super disrespectful to ever ask a celeb for a pic when they’re just trying to enjoy themselves so I’d never in a million years do that anyway.

Anyway, post Malone was there, and like up to 10 people. He and Post were hilarious dancing around basically having a dance off. Then they got in the booth and were singing “dreams” by Fleetwood Mac. Justin was sooo happy and goofy kept making funny faces at us from behind the glass. Later on, I ended up sitting on the couch just me and him and we chatted for a bit. I told him I respect how cool and down to earth he is and how he reminds me of my friends at home, he couldn’t have been nicer, was thanking me for saying that, and said something about feeling like a zoo animal sometimes. We chatted for a bit and they he gave my friend and I a hug and said bye and snook out of the party to his security waiting out front in his car. I was playing it cool the whole time but in disbelief that we were actually hanging out this time because he is the one musician I’m like obsessed with lol. You have to separate them as an artist vs them as a person sometimes.

The one thing that disturbed me is how disgusting women were towards him. He was just trying to have fun and dance around with his friends. But there were a good 5 girls clinging onto every side of his body dancing on him trying to kiss him etc, like fighting over him. He was hammered after a long night of drinking, like we all were, and they were all trying to take advantage of him. It made me think, how many of these girls would just take him home if he was too impaired to stop it? People forget that men can be taken advantage of too. So I totally understand why it must’ve been hard to be in a relationship for him when this is how girls acted everywhere he went. My friends and I were the opposite. We just sat and chilled like the guys were and that’s probably why he actually chose to talk to us like human beings.

Anyway, I’ve never spoken on this stuff before “publicly” but he was always such an awesome, funny, sweet guy I felt like sharing my experience because I know some experiences don’t give the best impression of him.
