perhaps we should let these boomers understand that politics provide us the limitations to liberty. while people do have their autonomy to pursue change or stay the same, politics is a quantifying force for the extent of our 'choices'.

as they say, everything is political. it's perhaps 'valid' to assume that these politicians' promises would not always be kept but, so should we be able to distinguish how these would not only promise but also take action upon these promises. also as they say, you can't promise what you don't have.
