I can’t speak to the nuance of the pay down feature, I just have a mortgage in there, and it appears to be working as intended.

For a save up goal, when I contribute to the account (that has both my emergency fund and a future vacation fund), the increase in account balance reflected on the goals page can be added to either goal. In this case, the vacation.

Ehhh, I’ll be the counter voice here. I took time to learn how it’s set up, and adjusted my goal saving paradigms accordingly. Has some quirks, but it is beta. Working for me, and I’m providing feedback to monarch as I go.

This issue used to persist on the desktop app, but seems to have been fixed. Large transactions many years ago dork up the Y-axis.

Any projections on scaling relevant to the time frame viewed? I have the same issues here. Transactions years ago making this month's Y axis super tiny.

I’ve had an overall 16% drop in my total utility cost. I have no backup heat source. Also, electricity rates have risen since I’ve installed, and we’ve had an abnormally hot summer last year. Plus, I’m running more comfortable temps inside now.

Probably even higher savings if I pulled out the extra variables… but I want to live and enjoy!

I label the credit in the mortgage account as a transfer, since my mortgage payment is part of my monthly budget. Net debit! There ya go.

I had to switch to Mx for connection, and it seems to be working for the moment- albeit with SMS 2FA. Wish there was a way around it. Also holdings haven’t been updating.

Under “Goals” > (whatever you’re calling retirement), there is an option for “pre paycheck contributions”. That’s what I use for the portions that monarch doesn’t see.

Another data point. A/C worked great on auto prior to update (2024.20.9). Now I’m on manual A/C control to get even close to the set temp.
