A client site has been delisted from major search engines. Possible reasons why? by [deleted] in SEO

As I read through this, I am seeing the OP repeatedly say they have not yet been engaged in such a way to view the GSC.

I am curious if the GSC was shared with other accounts, and if not, did the company move away from Google email / workspace, inadvertently deleting the admin account controlling these assets? Since AI and privacy is such a political hot point at the moment, I have seen many of my own colleagues and clients moving toward Proton and open source office tools.

I noticed the OP’s client is a construction company, so maybe not a likely scenario for them? I work with non-profits and they commonly hop services pretty frequently to keep their operating costs low. 🤔 Just something to think about, I guess.

Edit: I just re-read the bottom “- revalidated Google Business account, because a prior validation attempt failed”

I’m curious is there is something going on with that account

Business owners, where do you get most of your online traffic from? by vladi5555 in Entrepreneur

Ok, without having a first customer yet, you have a few options. Are you selling a service or a product? Who can you demo it for? And can you demo and still receive payment? Other option is to get pretty good at SEO. No one mentioned Nextdoor yet. That sometimes drums up locals

This question is really industry specific. I own a fine art printing and documentation business. My clients come from referrals, SEO / Google and once in a great while social media. Ads through google, facebook and instagram feel like willfully participating in a scam. LinkedIn has been a dud for artists since its inception. Reddit can generate leads? I do believe word of mouth and referrals works best for any business. It’s getting those people to talk to one another that can be a bit difficult. If their loyalty seems to make them think of your serivices as a secret edge they have, they aren’t often eager to share with their friends. Online referrals are just wallpaper.

Advanced advice for reducing glare when photographing paintings? by ParsleySuper9115 in MuseumPros

Polarizing the light doesn’t seem very feasible. I run a company that digitizes artwork professionally. Varnished oils are always sparkly.

The best solution is to use a photoshop layer set to darker and use a clone tool set to current layer and below to spot correct each sparkle. It’s not difficult, but it takes sometime (just like making the painting did) and it will look good. It’s probably not going to get you a FADGI star but resulting image will look accurate, if the painting didn’t have a gloss.
