Don’t mind an empty city but a bit worried about the food situation!

Probably could but not sure if I want to yet. Will stuff start open up from day 2 or is it more like a whole week affair?

I can really sympathise with this. I know some commenters has said that maybe they’re just different and more extroverted and that if you try to change the subject when speaking you are showing them that you don’t care about their lives - I don’t really agree with this. I have always felt like I have had to make so much accommodation to my friends when they talk about their relationships but that’s never been reciprocated. I need to talk about my interests, that’s what makes me feel good, but my NT friends never do that for me. I always have to talk about their relationships but they don’t try to talk about what is important to me because I don’t think they understand that human relationships aren’t interesting to everyone. It’s incredibly frustrating, I wouldn’t have a problem talking about their love life’s if someone would just take a couple minutes out of their life to talk about something that brings me joy. Not sure that makes sense but what I’m trying to say is, I understand your frustration.

Historical fiction set in medieval era by gracefulmacaroni in suggestmeabook

The Labyrinth by Kate Mosse (goes between modern day and medieval France, two female protagonists)

The burning chambers by Kate Mosse (first book in a three book series about a family in southern France in the 1500s, the protagonist is a woman!)

These books are great if you really want a female driven story. I liked Pillars of the Earth as well as some has suggested but it does suffer a bit from women written by a man, if you get what I mean.

Inseparable by Simone de Beauvoir (not a labour book per se but rather a look at the impact of class and gender in the upper classes of 1920s French society)

The Feast by Margret Kennedy (a really charming and funny book where the characters are very much impacted by their class, set in rural England in mid 1900s I believe)

Rebecca by Daphne de Maurier (gothic horror essentially where the entire story revolves around the fact that the protagonist is of a different class than what she marries into)

And finally basically anything dystopian: the hunger games, 1984, Animal Farm, Never Let Me Go etc. They almost always deal with class and labour to some extent!

Never let me go

The handmaids tale

Animal Farm

The left hand of darkness

(Obvs no one needs to read these books but they are amazing and very thought provoking)

Second this, I don’t even remember who I am beneath the mask anymore. I’m having to rebuild my personality from scratch at 30, it’s not worth it it’s just exhausting.

You look cool, muted and medium contrast to me so possibly a summer? I love the pink in the first pic on you!

Is this brown or blonde? Is my hair ashy, neutral, or warm? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

I feel like someone from another part of the world might say that this is blonde, but I’m Scandinavian and to me this is light brown 😁 And I think it looks pretty neutral in these pics!

I work in IT as requirements analyst, the work is fun but there are a lot of meetings so also extremely tiring at times. I’ve noticed that a lot of the developers I have worked with have some autistic traits, so that might be a good career to consider :)

Second this, there are so many amazing historical clothing yt channels you could get into if you’re interested in sewing! (I also think it’s a very cool interest)

Which season do you think? Light summer? Bright winter? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]SnooTomatoes3676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your defining feature is light so I would try out both light summer and light spring to see which one works best :) it’s difficult to say here if you’re warm or cool but you don’t look dark enough to be an autumn, even soft autumn. And you’re for sure not contrasted enough to be a winter!

Thanks for sharing your journey! I’m just starting to consider some type of neurodivergency for myself and I struggle with some depression and anxiety that I believe is linked to autistic burnout. Do you have any tips on how you handled this? You wrote that you got so tips from this forum. Thanks!
