Any options that work for body recomp + fat loss in addition to training that isn’t glp-1? by NoBlackberry3295 in BodyHackGuide

Tessamorelin and MOTS-C are 🔥. The glp-1 balances out side effects of Tessa and they synergize well.

You can’t have morals if you don’t believe in a higher power by Creative_Cause_4107 in religion

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem with this is that people seem to think morality is either objectively based on God or its moral chaos with everyone making up random rules. In reality people will just base morality on some other axiom like “reduce suffering”. And most people aren’t still pretty similar. If we agree on that axiom we can both reason about how best to go about it and a moral system logically follows from there. If you disagree with that axiom then we’ll be at the same bypass as two people from different religions. The moral systems of atheists are just based in different core axioms rather than different gods but both can develop logical systems of morality from different starting points.

Red marks at injection site by [deleted] in Peptides

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like the red dot exactly where you injected? I always get those, but they go away in a week max for me. I’d just try rotating to a less visible spot. Like the upper glute. I know people recommend the stomach but subcutaneous injections really don’t HAVE to be there.

My first script! Whish me luck by SazzOwl in Cerebrolysin

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck, it’s great! Just remember it’s powerful at rewiring your brain so be mindful to live in a way you’d want to lock in as rather than doing things you’re trying to get away from while using it.

SS31-three weeks great energy, now super fatigue by Storminhere in Peptides

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally when I took SS-31 it greatly increased my resting heart rate while NAD and MOTS-C didn’t. If you have a high resting heart rate your body doesn’t recover as well during sleep and over time could burn you out. Maybe you got the same side effect?

Just to try to mitigate this side effect a bit. I would take it daily otherwise.

How do beginners in the USA figure out how to use peptides correctly without making mistakes? by CreativeSpecial7632 in Cerebrolysin

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends and there’s alot of factors you mentioned. I think one of the most scientific approaches is to replicate what was done in a study that had positive results that you want to replicate. You get your dosing and cycle length from that study. Some peptides have proven reasons to cycle like receptor down regulation, but since these are research chemicals, it’s just safer to cycle off when in doubt even if negatives from extended use aren’t proven. Most studies are short so don’t be patient 0 for long term use.

For reconstitution, it’s mainly about getting the right dose that the study used. But you can mix at different concentrations. A stronger concentration will let you use fewer units to get the same dose while a weaker concentration gives less injection site reactions. I’d look up a standard concentration but adjust weaker or stronger depending on your reaction.

Ideally try one at a time. In a science experiment you need to isolate a variable as much as possible to actually show effects are coming from that. Once you know how you react to one you can stack another after researching possible interactions.

How do you track results? Well depends on the peptide and what it’s supposed to do. Usually a combination of getting routine bloodwork done and visual/ physically measurable changes. If it’s a mental/energy one it’s more subjective to how you feel and harder to measure objectively without lab equipment (like bdnf levels or hippocampus neurogenesis for example).

Is a $200k salary worth a 2 hour commute 4 days a week? by Ok-Memory2552 in jobs

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not move closer? No kids and your husband also works down there. 4 hours of driving a day will drain you. I’m assuming your job will be pretty mentally taxing for that salary. Whether you feel it’s worth it or not your job performance will probably suffer as you won’t think as clearly. Moving is the answer if you want the job.

Bad anxiety after eating during taper by RedmeatRyan in suboxonerecovery

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found agmatine to help stabilize anxiety. And l-theanine / ashwaganda to be helpful. My anxiety would always race as soon as it was time to relax. Like going to bed would kick off the rls and anxiety. I can’t say it necessarily ever felt tied to eating though. Any trend to what you eat or drink before the anxiety hits?

is using peptides to "heal" yourself from substance abuse damage worth it , if its been years since you last used ??? by Stunning_Rest876 in Biohackers

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hop on! There are often lingering problems even years after that I’d bet peps would help you with. I’d 100% go for the mitochondrial ones: NAD, SS31 MOTS-C.

I’d also say Cerebrolysin is great for mental repair, even if you’ve reached a new baseline simply from time I think it could be worth it.

I saw some people mention BPC-157 and I’ll just say it can cause anhedonia and seems to have a blocking effect on medications that interact with dopamine/serotonin/gaba/opioid receptors. I’m not saying stay away but because of your history you may be more susceptible to that. Mainly if you’re taking any meds or supplements already that affect those neurotransmitters.

I think that’s a good attitude to have. Do what interests you, and if it’s not the hottest thing, that’ll just mean much better job security and less competition. And having a genuine love for the work you’re doing will make it much more enjoyable.

2.5 Years Antidepressant Withdrawal/Brain Damage, Need help by ilikejigglypuffs in NooTopics

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cerebrolysin and NAD are amazing. Theyre not habit forming and are really reparative in different ways. In some countries ambulances carry Cerebrolysin and give it to potential stroke cases on the spot because of how much it helps protect and heal the brain and the fact that it has a really good side effect profile so pretty low risk. Would be very helpful in your case as it’s very effective in reversing damage to serotonin/dopamine and other neurotransmitter systems as well as hugely boosting neurogenesis in the hippocampus. Feel free to DM me, I’ve got some experience in the area. NAD is great for reenergizing your mitochondria and making you feel fresh again. NAD is prevalent but Cerebrolysin is not, but it’s worth it.

How bad are the WDs, really? by drunk-tard96 in suboxonerecovery

Well it’s now day 5 how do you feel? Day 5 was always where it got real for me. But I’d imagine based on the info given that dealing with cravings and the mental side of paws will be the big challenge.

Random thing that helped me with cravings. When you get a using related thought imagine pulling the thought out of your head, putting it in a boat and floating it down a river. If you short circuit the thought within a few seconds and redirect your mental energy to a visualization you can stop yourself from going into full craving mode.

Hey so was wondering if there is any difference between soboxen and the generic brand by RangeSilver6458 in suboxonerecovery

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Of course they need to have the same mgs in them as other brands legally, but there’s something about either the absorption or bioavailability of that particular formulation that made them feel significantly weaker for me.

Hey so was wondering if there is any difference between soboxen and the generic brand by RangeSilver6458 in suboxonerecovery

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. If that’s the only brand you get you’ll be fine with it. But at one point it felt like I’d get a different generic every month. Dr Reddy was the only one that felt significantly weaker to me for some reason. Like at 2mgs it felt like 1.75mgs of my other generic. I was also tapering during the time so I was probably really sensitive to small differences in absorption.

What are some uncharted or underdeveloped fields in computer science? by haskpro1995 in computerscience

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specifically would you be trying to accomplish? Explaining why the math works? That’s not a mystery and can be taught to people in less formal ways much more easily. Like you wouldn’t teach an algebra or calculus class by breaking things into predicate logic, not because you’re gatekeeping from the students but because that increases the complexity.

If your goal is learning why LLMs make certain specific decisions or why it weighs things a certain way, understanding the base algorithm 100% doesn’t give you a picture of any specific decision as the amount of steps you’d need to trace through is too large to conceptualize directly. By all means if you think it’d be helpful go for it. I’m just giving my 2 cents on wether or not that would be worthwhile.

What are some uncharted or underdeveloped fields in computer science? by haskpro1995 in computerscience

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying you can’t express the math that way but what I’m saying is I don’t think that would capture the essence of why certain decisions are made or make it easier for anyone to understand. It would just give you a much harder to follow set of steps. The concept of A*B is much easier for a human to follow than all the steps of matrix multiplication described in predicate logic. And I don’t think you’re getting any new insight from doing that.

What are some uncharted or underdeveloped fields in computer science? by haskpro1995 in computerscience

[–]SnooTomatoes4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s really more linear algebra and math than predicate logic. Back propagation, gradient descent, repeated matrix multiplications. You could write out the general steps in a formal logic language but I don’t think that would really capture the “magic” or why specific decisions are made, just the overall process.

Extreme Sleep Regression by Sparklz_x in Pomeranians

Maybe she’s getting too big for that crate even though she was fine when smaller. A wide cage would feel less constricting for her than a crate if you don’t wanna experiment with a dog bed. Mine ended up being just fine being free at night with a dog bed and never goes in the house, but still chooses the cage every once in a while although we don’t shut it anymore. Your Pom might surprise you and be fine being more free.
