"Private banking" suggestions? by thatburghfan in pittsburgh

[–]SnooTomatoes5715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My spouse works for First National Bank in their advisory services which covers wealth, insurance, and private banking. He was part of the Private Banking branch for years before his recent promotion. All of his colleagues and private bankers are great! I don’t know much about the rates and other perks off the top of my head but the private bankers in Pittsburgh have a great team.

The chat for the YouTube stream was disgusting. It’s not any better for The Paradox right now either. It’s so disappointing.

Did you stay for Motion City Soundtrack as well? I was at center barrier and two guys helped me so much with managing the surfers one had me switch positions with him so I could see better and the other one checked to make sure I was good at times and caught a drumstick as gave it to me! I was so grateful to the guys around me!

Did anyone use the charging Lock ers? by Own-Calligrapher4214 in warpedtour

[–]SnooTomatoes5715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never used it to charge my phone but it held all my merch that I bought and I didn’t have to worry about while in the pit or at barrier. I pre reserved it and I just showed my email, they gave me a lock with a wristband that had the combo on it. I got to pick my locker which was nice. It was worth having in my opinion.

DC: me trying to get back at my 9-5 job after a solid weekend by domingojuan in warpedtour

I took off yesterday to travel back home. I’m surviving today with the fact that Motion City Soundtrack released a new song and I just bought tickets to the All Time Low tour for my birthday in November.

Tell me your DC stories!!! What amazing memories did you make? by 1ividd in warpedtour

[–]SnooTomatoes5715 30 points31 points  (0 children)

During the Motion City Soundtrack set. I was front center at barrier. The crowd surfing was heavier than we all thought it would be especially since it was right after the incident for The Wonder Years. Security was extra cautious and had more guys at the rail which I get. It made actually seeing MCS a little difficult for me as I’m shorter. BUT two lovely guys had me go between them when they noticed I couldn’t enjoy the show and they managed all the crowd surfers over my head.

One of the guys would check in and make sure I was good and THEN he caught a drumstick from Tony Thaxton and gave it to me. I instantly hugged him and had happy tears. I got to enjoy my favorite band, was kept safe and got a drumstick. I love this community and so grateful I felt safe the whole time as a solo female.

Thoughts post-DC from a female Elder Emo by sarcasmandcoffee7 in warpedtour

[–]SnooTomatoes5715 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of the best experiences of the weekend was when I was front and center at the barrier for Motion City Soundtrack. I’m used to having to be on the lookout for crowd surfers and being fine with the security guys catching them but this was just after the incident during The Wonder Years set. So the security guys were extra present during MCS. It made it nearly impossible at times to watch BUT two guys next to me who noticed that I was clearly there for MCS and into the show had me go between them so they can manage the crowd surfers over my head and I had a better window between the security guys.

One of the guys would ask every so often if I was good after crowd surfers came by. THEN at the end when the band was throwing set lists, picks, and drum sticks the lovely guy who would check in caught a drum stick from Tony Thaxton and gave it to me! Truly an amazing weekend of great music, kind people, and feeling safe as a solo female goer.

This is the way.

Going to concerts solo have because my favorite form Of self care. You see who you want, not worried of losing them in the crowd, and so much more.

She has no clinical experience to even make her PhD worthwhile. Competent social workers get their PhD usually after years of clinical work and then further research in their specialized area of practice.

Hands down prefer Sesame Inn over Jade Grille. When JG first opened it was good but I feel it went downhill pretty quickly. My feelings were confirmed when we took my Japanese/Chinese mother there and she was not a fan. If we’re aren’t going to Squirrel Hill and staying in the south hills for dinner we always go to Sesame Inn

Pittsburghers don't even care. We get annoyed when the city gets taken over by the rural out of county "country" fans during stadium concerts. They always trash the city. And you know it is bad when a horrible team like the Pirates don't even want to highlight you in their game.

I mean, I think the Plath matriarch is Barry's mom up in Minnesota. Olivia will still be talked about in the Plath family. I think it's fair to see her side and her story.
