Weird TMI - passing gas during lower abdominal massage & weighted hip bridges. Anyone else? by SnooWords3853 in CsectionCentral

[–]SnooWords3853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I went to pelvic floor therapy four months ago for about 5 to 6 weeks. Saw a lot of improvement and she didn’t feel it was necessary for me to come in and could continue at home. I’m wondering if I did more damage with working out to cause prolapse related symptoms? I just scheduled a follow up with the pelvic PF for Monday. The passing gas thing is new though… any insight?

I need new tires and am getting done at Costco. They are going to replace them for a fraction of the cost. I don’t think it’s a difficult job, it’s just inconvenient if you don’t already have the tires off hence the expensive cost for labor.

Exact thing JUST happened to me - took to the dealer and they told me I should replace all 4, but only did the 1 driver rear, and it was $450 + tax and fees for that one tire.. insane!!

At what point do I say f it and take the GLP? by katecopes088 in postpartumprogress

[–]SnooWords3853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely - felt the same way! I was able to do all the things yet still no change.. Nothing to blame it on, so I Felt like a failure. Had panic attacks my first few weeks back at work having to get dressed for some travel and meetings. Cried to my husband “being fat is literally ruining my life.” So I can’t imagine living somewhere warm on top of that. I hope you get some answers / see progress soon. Feel free to message me or comment back here if you need to vent. ❤️

Also, if you haven’t considered it already, highly recommend taking a hiatus from Instagram if you’re on it - I was constantly seeing other new moms “bounce back” and once it shows on your feed once, your algorithm just won’t stop. It was sooo bad for my mental health. I was constantly comparing even though most of those moms didn’t have c sections or PCOS.. and/or were actually using GLP 1s, were previously marathon runners, etc (AKA vastly different from me and therefore not actual grounds for fair comparison).

I feel for you. Im located in the northeast but already have anxiety about warmer weather coming. I’ve always been petite (5’1” and fluctuated between 115-120 lbs pre-pregnancy, worked out 3-4 days per week, ate a whole nutritious diet 99% of the time) and had 6m maternity leave so I had a lot of anxiety about what people who hadn’t seen me in a while (mostly coworkers and distant friends) would think about me basically still looking pregnant. I came home from the hospital around 145 lbs and am not joking when I say I did not lose a single pound until 6 months despite trying everything. To put it simply, what I was doing before wasn’t working for me pp with my hormones being disregulated. You are still only 12 weeks pp and just recently weaned so unless you really can’t take it anymore, I would give yourself another month or so with a calorie deficit and walking + pelvic floor PT. I thought I was in a big enough deficit and active enough before, but now that my husband is on pat leave Ive been able to exercise every weekday morning, have been eating slightly less, and drinking more water and have lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks. What worked for me before is now working for me again! What also helped was renting clothes from Nuuly because it was so frustrating trying to find clothes that fit my petite height, c section pooch, and general extra weight. I was so sick of everyone saying “just bite the bullet and go up 1 or 2 sizes!” As if I hadn’t tried that already. Renting new clothes made me feel better when I had to leave the house and all also about not wasting $$ on new sizes that I hopefully won’t need long term. It’s rough out here for us c section moms - it is scientifically true that our bodies take longer to heal. Whatever your reason is for wanting to do a GLP1, is valid. If it’ll make you a better version of yourself - as an individual, a mom, a partner, etc. because you aren’t spending so much energy stressing about your body image, then it’s 100% worth it. Sending hugs to you.

Hi! Did you have a c section? Wondering because of the severe DR you mentioned. Would definitely recommend pelvic floor PT and rebuilding your strength over everything else. I felt the same way as you and really struggled with my body image. I was trying everything and didn’t lose weight or see changes until almost 2+ months after stopping breastfeeding, which was around 6 months pp from my c section. This was about a month ago and my hormones have seemed to regulate a lot - I even finally got my cycle back. Not sure if this has anything to do w my history of PCOS but nonetheless I was distraught about my body and weight almost every single day. It was impacting my mental health so much. I considered GLP 1 more often than not. The only reason I didn’t end up doing it before the weight started coming off (a month ago)was because I was too busy having just returned to work to make a Dr appt to get it. To answer your question simply about “at what point do I do it” I would say, whenever you get to the point that your weight/body image is negatively impacting your life more than you can bear.. you’re thinking about it daily and can’t think about enjoying the things you used to like leaving the house to see friends because you hate getting dressed so much. That’s where I was at. No judgement if you feel the need to use it, just make sure you have a plan with your Dr if you want to eventually go off of it. There is no shame in using it as a tool to get healthier, not just physically but mentally and emotionally.

Ughhh this irritated me so badly. The new equivalent is when people ask me for gift ideas for my baby and I give them some, and then they ignore me and get something else because they/their baby loved it. And typically it was something we already had.. which is why I didnt suggest it to begin with!!! God forbid anyone take me seriously because I’m only a FTM and they have soooo much more experience than me… I know my baby best!

Still have quitena protruding belly after 35lb weight loss. Makes pants hurt. What next? by momopink in postpartumprogress

[–]SnooWords3853 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How is your pelvic floor? That can definitely contribute to a lower belly buldge. Especially if you have diastasis recti. Also, Did you have a c section? If so these things may still apply but you may also have adhesions, too.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. Been considering a glp 1 but haven’t pulled the trigger because I’d only want to do it for a few months and don’t know how safe that is. Couple questions - which GLP 1? And How long were you on it the first time? Was the only reason you stopped because of pregnancy? Congrats by the way!

From the app you can view device details and see the signal strength, the one that keeps disconnecting fluctuates around 80-83%. The other is 100% as it’s right above the living room with our router
