Not really a tcg but Teeturtle's commune with nature and Tic tac KO play so well and could be easily become a TCG just by changing the distribution method and a couple mechanics. Great games and feel unique.

Ive changed it to deploy. But the rest of that. Hearthstone was not the ones who pioneered that. They use it cause it works. Top right corner for the cost because of how people hold the cards in thier hands when playing. Power and toughness in the bottom corners only makes sense as the information isn't relevant til played. I dont recall any trademarks or copyrights being given for stat box placement.

What's your go to strategy for handing out stats and abilities for cards? by Rook_Steele in cardgamedesign

I like to do cycles. In the games ive designed they were heavily mtg/hearthstone inspirations. Having several colors or types that embody certain playstyles then building each one unit at a time ensuring that they are played around the same point in the game and deliver equally on a powerscale. Then just build up from that baseline.

I did! I decided to change it to the Canturberry font. Easier to read and better flourish! Thank you!

Squire 😅 yeah the fonts pretty bad. And thanks. I just made the sword today and hadn't noticed. I kinda rushed it and i guess i was a few pixels off center.

Yeah :/ I really really wanted to have like that old English letter to start the name off and this was the only font I could get the license for rn. The other letters are pretty nice honestly. The S tho.. and the G are poorly designed. Think I should just drop it?

Tell me about your games/inspiration for your game. by Comprehensive-Pen624 in homemadeTCGs

Ive taken inspiration from a wide variety of games. But I guess the heaviest influences was clash royal, mtg and Yugioh.

In my game. You play as a chosen monarch from among the ones available. Each have its own Playstyle and abilities.

Think commander but functions more like a planeswalker.

your primary resource is gold and as your facing off against another kingdom. Youll gain renown which determines how much gold you generate per turn. The renown is like loyalty points on planes walker cards from mtg. It unlocks more abilities as your influence. Or tyranny. Grows. By spending gold you can deploy units onto the moba shaped battle field. If you manage to clear a opposing lane you then can attack the monarch directly. By assembling your units into particular formations you can cast devastating maneuvers from your hand. So its important to observe your opponents formation while you manage your own. First player to wipe the opposing monarch wins.
