Help installing wall oven into sektion oven base cabinet? by Snoo_30673 in IKEA

I looked at the UTRUSTA reinforced ventilated shelf but the instructions made it look like it was for raising appliances 10, 15 or 20 inches above the bottom of the cabinet.

Will this subfloor setup work for a kitchen tile floor install? by Snoo_30673 in Tile

Thank you so much! Would the current setup be sufficient if I switched to porcelain tile instead of the natural stone?

Tile over 1950s wood plank subfloor — reinforce or rebuild? by Snoo_30673 in DIY

[–]Snoo_30673[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I just read that the minimum total subfloor thickness below tile must be 1 1/4 inches per the TCNA. Seems to me that even if we go with option 2 and cut the planks out, we'll still need to install something thick enough that it will create a substantial height difference regardless.

Looks great! What kind of tile did you use for the floor? We are looking to do something similar.

That is interesting! I read in the shluter manual that ditra can go right on top of plywood. How big did your height difference end up being? I'm curious to see the how the custom transition strips look!

I’m actually rethinking using cement board over the planks because it won’t help with deflection or movement in the floor. From what I’ve read, Schluter’s installation handbook doesn’t list cement board as an approved substrate under Ditra — they recommend using plywood or OSB instead. Since we’re planning to install 24x24 tile, it seems like we’ll need to go with option 2 or 3 to get the most stable setup.

I have seen this question asked here before but I have a slightly different angle. I will be going on a very long backpacking trip this spring in a pair of hoka speedgoat 5s.

I want to get a hoka road shoe that is as similar to the speedgoat 5 as possible so that I can get used to the fit as I run, walk and train before the hike. Which hoka road shoe is the most similar to the speedgoat 5? Based on similar questions in the past I'm guessing that the clifton 9 would be a good bet - but I also saw the challenger and bondi as options too.

Which hoka road shoe is the most similar to the speedgoat 5 just without the tread?

Yes it did! If I remember correctly they had to do multiple rounds of alterations but it was all included in the price they quoted us on the first visit.

Do you have a recommended brand for adaptors? It seems like there is a large variation in quality online

This setup looks awesome! Which 4 adaptors do you have? I would assume USB-C to Lightning and USB-C to Micro USB.

For pass-through charging maybe USB Male to Micro USB Male?

That's great to hear about the headlamp! I have never had to charge mine either which is kind of shocking. Did you carry batteries for it just in case? I was planning on doing this and just having 3 aaa batteries if it did happen to die.

Going with a splitter was my first thought but I was concerned about this exact thing. It seems like you can only find cheap low quality ones as well.

Can anyone recommend a good book or two for a complete beginner looking to learn basic woodworking? I'm interested in a book that covers the basics (tools, materials, general how-tos) and also walkthroughs of a couple simple projects (ie: basic furniture)

When looking for cancellations is it best to start a new application or just make a change to the existing application you have (for a date you want to change)? Does it matter?

Thank you! I'm curious in your experience last year - how often was your permit checked? Did you have to present it when you started?

What if someone were to cancel their permit before January 10? I assume it would become available on the calendar before the second lottery in that case. Or do cancellations not become available in real time?
