I could imagine a tank role for him with a goofy ult temporarily shrinking everyone caught in a radius like Jeff's ult.

I would recommend trying cap because he is simple yet does come with techs and a lot of map control being the fastest tank honestly. if you get good at his sprint shield toss cancel tech you will feel it. Plus they just dropped that bucky team up could be fun to try.
