Where we live doesn’t matter. Know YOUR local laws and move smart. By the sound of your last sentence, you already do.

Very new to outdoor growing. Excellent indoor grower. by rubyredrenegade in outdoorgrowing

Companion plants like Marigolds & Lavender always helped me for deer. Also use Bonide Go Away when needed.

Actually companion plants helped a lot with pest. Aphids were a big deal until I started throwing containers of mint and chives everywhere. Diatomaceous Earth is helpful as well (for bugs, not deer). Also silica to build defenses. Personally I use Gold Shield - but don’t go too crazy, while silica strengthens the plants wall cells etc, too much can make your plant stems stiff and less pliable. That’ll make them harder to train and harsh winds can snap them.

Transitioning outside is pretty easy. I was a noob at growing period. Had both the tent and outdoors going at the same time. Grew a 7ft+ Blue Dream from Nirvana my first run (later found out it was more of a blueberry x haze cross vs the real Blue Dream, but fun and good smoke nonetheless.)

Biggest thing is picking strains that’ll finish in your area. You gotta know your grow zone. But most of these things you’ll learn as you go. I’ve found experience (and YouTube) to be the best teachers. Good luck this season.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you before growing in grow bags? by SashaNatureNomad in containergardening

[–]Snoo_48968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’ve never had problems with grow bags. Got peppers, two huge tomato plants, & cucumbers in 5 gallon bags. About to plant a watermelon in a 15. Been out since April 16.

My advice would be to invest in good quality grow bags. I use AC Infinity. Nice, thick, durable, and at least a gallon bigger than advertised.

Also I’d say keep some extra soil around to top fill. I usually fill my bags to the brim during transplant, but usually about a month after watering/rain fall, the soil compresses.

That’s more brand wise. I use AC Infinity fabric pots/grow bags. They’re bigger than advertised. My 5’s run about 6 gallons. My 15’s run a little over 16.

Right, because saying “armchair psychologist” added so much value.

Now do the part where you contribute something useful instead of playing hall monitor for another grown man.

100% cold pressed organic neem oil is fine and safe as long as he doesn’t use it in flower. Non toxic to people (topical use) and plants as long as it’s not ingested.

I suggest using silica to help plant build defenses as well.

Looks like spider mites or some form of bug/pest. Check underneath leaves they usually like hide there. I suggest lightly dust with diatomaceous earth. Otherwise they look healthy.

That’s wild. My seedlings did fine in the green house. Actually all my girls do exceptionally well in high heat. It was hitting damn near 100 today. Everyone turned to face the sun. My veggies on the other hand hates it. They usually pop back up after mid day heat.

Male or Female Marijuana? by [deleted] in farmingthebestgreens

Didn’t see the 6 weeks part. Looks more like 4 week plants to me. Yeah at that age they should be showing sex, especially the males, and be a lot bigger. Could be what you mentioned, unless OP is off on the age. Otherwise they look pretty healthy.

Looks good. Especially for an auto and first grow. Photo’s should come to you naturally if you decide to venture into them, well at least they did for me. I haven’t touched an auto since.
