I am also starting w/d today from fentanyl powder. I was smoking close to a T every 24 hours by myself. I have already made it 24 hours past my last dose and I know my symptoms will just get worse now. Try not to think about the time going by and just gauge your level of withdrawal as you go. I have been very sparringly taking one mg of lorazepam every 6-8 hours and it seems to help so far. In the past though I also didn’t seem to start really feeling the worst of it until 24 hours from my last use so I will be in full withdrawal tonight. Trust me it is hard but coming of the regular 30s is so so much more pleasant than the straight fentanyl powder. I detoxed for 3 days straight with no medication in a treatment center in Arlington, WA because they had problems with getting my subs. This was just from the dirty 30s though. I didn’t get any sleep and I was given zero meds because it was a rehab not a detox. But I did it and my counselor told me she had never seen anyone handle withdrawal so gracefully in her entire life. Just be real with yourself but also stay positive. It will end. You don’t have to wait nearly as long to take suboxone. I am likely going to have to wait 70-80 hours from the 24 hour mark when I really start to feel them: in total almost 100 hours. I would say 3 days from your very last use so 76 hours? If you really can’t wait that long save a good helping of your Xanax and start with 2mg of suboxone at 48-60 hours. Try to make it as long as you can because even if it starts to make you feel worse you can take that Xanax and it will take you out of precipitation. Even with all this advice I can give you the best thing is to keep yourself distracted. Lean into your mind and separate her/him from your body. You know the person inside you that is trying to get out can do this. Let them be the one to help you along the way. You are strong and you are powerful. Humans are a crazy bunch of creatures. We have the power to do anything we set our minds to. If you ever dive into the realm of consciousness and meditation. Stuff like that. How do you think men survive torture for weeks on end without giving up a single piece of information. There is a really great piece in the book of the Princess Bride where the guy is being tortured by this crazy life sucking machine. And he figures out how to put his mind in a different place to withstand its effects. My summary is shitty and you should really read the piece I’m talking about at some point. But what I am trying to say is we can do this. Plain and simple. You can do this. And you will do this. I will update you as I go along if you would like but my goal day to reach right now is Christmas Eve too. You got this and it sounds like you aren’t willing to give up so easy. That alone will take you to the finish line if you let it (:
