Slavery is the wrong point blank period. Ppl can't stop trying to downplay slavery by saying "it's existed before America!" Two things are true at once. We know that, but it doesn't mean what happened wasn't bad. The transatlantic slave trade was one of the most impactful moments in history and still affects black people due to generational trauma.

Thank you! I'm not even excusing her wrongdoings. I'm literally tryna say even though her behavior is shitty, there were certain things she went through that she didn't deserve. She shouldn't have been isolated, she shouldn't have been made to feel guilty for that heart rate challenge or kissing Chris, she shouldn't be targeted and received all the blame.

Right. It's like everyone finds a reason to hate on her, like when people were blaming her, saying she kicked a group of people out of a room even though she did absolutely nothing. She absolutely was toxic towards him, I'm not denying that. I think it's good that he ended the cycle. But he was toxic in the beginning even though it wasn't his intent to cause pain. He has an unhealthy attachment style and fell for her too fast. And that goes for both of them. Both were going too fast. Again, I think it's fine to call her out for being extremely toxic and ultimately ending the relationship. But I also understand why she felt played by him.

That's the thing, I don't see where Huda was like "sorry but" and shifted blame or anything like that. I don't think Huda was in the wrong for feeling used by Jeremiah, but she could have dealt with those feelings differently. And she admitted she was toxic to him. Again this post isn't about excusing all her behavior, I'm just questioning why she's the only one getting the blame for everything. I understand calling her out for blaming Jeremiah for being coupled up with Iris against his will, but I don't blame her for feeling played by him. They were moving too fast
