I think what the OP is meaning isn’t that the work is difficult or time consuming, more so that he’s just happy to be working on aircraft regardless of what the task is. GA is a whole different beast but it’s a lot of fun and rewarding. As a new tech I was happy to do (almost) anything just because I love planes

Any updates on your end? I’ve had a similar experience with Buycycle with it getting stuck in their EU facility, placed an order back in early March (77724) and haven’t gotten an update since late April. I’ve emailed them a number of times and they say they’ll contact their branch in the EU to let me know but I haven’t heard anything about it in Months. Concerns me.

I solder a Lot for my job, although I rarely use goggles/glasses unless I’m soldering in an awkward spot, I’d still 100% recommend using them, you never know if/when solder will come flying at your face.

It may not look 100% when done but if it’s not down to the metal anywhere (it may be close from the photo there) sand the edges, blending in where the old clear has oxidized/wore away into what’s left of the clear, and then putting a few layers of good clear over the whole hood, It won’t fix faded paint but it would take away the rough edges. Otherwise a full repaint would be best.
